The election of our worthy townsman Herman Rothchild, is no surprise to his many friends, and meets with the fervent applause of all right, thinking people. That the interests of his constituents will al ways receive his utmost consideration goes without saying and is fuller evidenced by a characteristic remark concerning the definition of democracy which Mr. Roth child was heard to make soon after the results of the election were made known Claiming that though he is personally op posed to woman suffrage no democrat s lould be found voting against it for the reason that the utmost limit of liberty to all is the democrats prerogative and fur thermore that a representative of people's rights as interpreted by law makers should be devoid of personal feeling or de sire. The funeral took place Thursday, inter ment in the Union cemetery. Mr. Wilk inson was about 63 years of age, and a wife and daughter of his immediate family, as well as several cousins and other relatives in the High Valley section to mourn his loss. The funeral procession was one of the longest ever seen in this county, and bore ample testimony as to the standing of the deceased and the high regard in which he was held by his neighbors and friends. Deadly Serpent Bites are as common in India as are stomach and liver disorders with us. For the latter however there is a sure remedy: Electric Bitters; the great restoration medicine, of which S. A. Brown, of Ben nettsville, S. C, says: 'They restored my wife to perfect health, after years of suffering with dyspepsia and a chronically torpid liver.' Electric Bitters cure chills, and fever, malaria, biliousness, lame back, kidney troubles and bladder disorders. Sold on guarantee by the Newlin Drug Co.. price 60 cts.
