Mr. Welker was born May 30, 1870. at Avena. 111., and Mrs. Welker who was Anna A. Hart belore her marriage, was born Nov. 2, 1873. They . were united in marriage Feb. S, 1893 at Arena 111. Feb. 5. 1953 they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home on Umpqua Ave., in Roseburg. They now make their home with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Welker, at 1153 Harvard Ave., where their sixty-first wedding celebration took place. The Welkers are the parents of five children, four of whom are livings nine grandchildren tnd (fourteen great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Welker came to Oregon in 1916 and first lived in Myrtle Creek. They have resided in or near Roseburg since com ing west. Their many friends wish them continued good health and happiness. Miss Scott, who underwent a major operation a month ago and who has been con valescing since her discharge from Mercy Hospital, is now able to be out again.
