While out riding In a single-horse livery rig in this city Friday eve ning, Mrs. Warrington, a guest at the Hotel McClallen, mot with nn accident, which, fortunately, hiul no serious results. At the intersection of Cass and Jackson streets, one of the wheels of the buggy was cnuht 'y a panning gravel ' wagon, going In the opposite direction. The horse attached to the buggy became frigh tened and plunged so forcibly that ho broke hose from the vehicle, at the same time throwing Mrs. War rington into the street. As luck would have It, however, Mrs. War rington sustained no injuries be yond a shaking up and a few incon sequentul bruises. On the famous old buttlefield of Tlpo- ennoo, where on November 7, 1811, General William Henry Harirsou and his little band of pioneers vanished the Indians under the Prophet and thus gained au empire fur the whites, handsome monument was dedica ted today. Today Is- the ninety- seventh anniversary of the historic conflict in which General Harrison broke the power of Tecumseh's con federacy and gained that military renown which later led him to the While House. Thousands of peo ple gathered on the battleground and the dedicatory ceremonies were of an imposing nature. Addresses were delivered In the morning by Congressman E. D. Crumpacker and other well known men. The formal dedication took place this afternoon. Job C. Sims, chairman of the dedication commit tee, presented the monument to the state and nation. Governor Hanley accepted In behalf of the state, and General Luke Wright, secretary of war, represented the National Gov ernment. Music was furnished by bands and a trained chorus. The buttleilled was elaborately decorated with Hags. The monument was too large to veil nnd unveil, and only the statue of General Harrison In front was unveiled at the ceremonies.
