Hiking to Kickback is on the sports schedule for M onday nights. This, however, is entirely elective. Indiv iduals do secure credit points for participation. A ccum ulated points are counted tow ard merit aw ard s at the end of the year. Mr. Bartlett h as a rran g ed a series of individual gym nastics an d drills that are keeping the girls bu sy m as tering them. Volley ball an d Nation ball are popular gam es in the intra m ural program. R edskins U pset Sublim ity The C hem aw a "Redskins" hit their stride with a win over "The Saints" from Sublimity. Until then, C he m aw a h a d b e e n striving to get into the win column and Sublimity w as protecting its record of no losses. Late-entrys, drop-outs, a n d inéligibles have m ade some changes in the members; con sequently, several of the varsity first stringers are missing from the pic ture a n d several non-players are in cluded. To date, we stand with one win to two losses in leag u e gam es. CHAMP NUT PICKERS APPLES HARVESTED The Pep Squad, under the leader ship of Miss Seaver, has, to date, the record for the am ount of filberts picked in one session. E ager to get new outfits, they are enthusiastically entering into any money m aking schem e available. The thirty mem bers picked 28 b a g s of filberts to put them selves at the head of the list. JOURNALISM GROUP The Journalism committee for the C hem aw a American will' work with Miss Gordon to put out each edition. Figured at $1.00 a box, this crop is worth about $3,000. The bulk of the crop w as picked during the three-day period that all vocational shops helped. On Thurs day, October 9, a total of 1,020 boxes w as picked. Without this help, the agricultural boys would have been picking apples until Christmas, an d a part of that time would have been in rain. The members of the Agriculture departm ent wish to express their a p preciation to the vocational shop instructors and their students for their splendid assistance in getting the apple crop harvested in such a short time.
