S m ith m ade a h u rried trip to A shland the la tte r p art of last week on school business. Mr. Loos also m ade a jo u rn ey to A lbany. M iss O ra S cholder, of San Diego, C alifornia, has received th e ap p o in tm en t as m atron for the sm all boys and enters on d u ty at once. Miss S cholder has had considerable experience in the m atron work and no d o u b t will be a valuable acquisition to th e C hem aw a force. Mrs. E thel G . R eilly, our late Miss K nox, w ho was recently m arried to M r. P. O . R eilly, has resigned her position as m atron of the sm all boys at th is school, and will join her husband at once. Mrs. Reilly took no little interest in her boys and will be greatly missed at C hem aw a. T h e sm aller boys and girls enjoyed th eir H allow een party to th e fullest ex ten t. It was held last S atu rd ay n ig h t in th e assem bly rooms of W inona H all. Mr. MR. AND MRS. JAQUINS ENTERTAIN Mr. and M rs. Jaq u in s entertain ed last M onday eve n in g in th e S u p e rin te n d e n t’s residence in honor of Mr. and M rs. W a rn e r. T h e H allow een m otif was carried o u t th ro u g h o u t th e evening. Black cats, w itches and bats w ere in evidence everyw here and baskets of luscious red apples tem pted the eye in each room . Progressive gam es w ere played and Miss S kipton and Miss W oods w’ere forced to draw for th e lad ies’ prize. Miss W oods proved th e luckiest and received an attractiv e H allow een box of candy. M r. M itchell held th e highest score for th e gentlem en and was the recipient of a g rin n in g black cat filled w ith bon bons. R efreshm ents consisting of sandw iches, salad, olives, coffee and cake w ere served by th e hostess and her m other, M rs. H all, w ho also assisted th ro u g h o u t the evening.
