One of the mon brilliant successes of the social season was the opening reception of the Peerless Dancing Club, given under the direction of Miss Nettle Frazure, at Tioga hall, last evening. The hall was beautifully decorated In purple and orange crepe pap draped from the corners, anisl&es of the room to the centeV ;IntwoJpf the corners were cleverly arranged cozy seats, while in ano'her corner, which was by no means overlooked or forgot ten, as It proved one of the most re vlvlng features of the evening, was the punch bgwi. Here beautirul ferns had been used to good advantage, forming a complete bowe'r of green from which little Miss Alma Oswalt, daintily gowne3 rin pink,- served the punch. The music was furnished by the McE'roy orchestra, and the numbers were played with such perfect hnr- mony that every chair in the hall was left vacant during their rendition, while the merry throng glided over the hall with perfect ease, and en Joyed the music of the famous orches tra. The grand march wn3 led by Miss Frazure and Mr. Otto Miller, and fol owing came Mlsa Emma Miller and Mr. Claude Hlbbard. Many pretty gowns were in evidence, and about 44 couple attended. It is understood that these club par ties will be given on Thursday even Ing of each week, and thU news will bo welcomed by the lovers of this art Miss Frazuro will also conduct a ilaJclrrg academy, and, as she Is a mest accomplished dancer, will no doubt have large classes. While she has only resided In this city for about two ears, she has scores of friends who will aid her in making it a suc cess. Andrews-Slmpklns Wedding. A very pretty wedding occurred at the home of Mr. T. W. Andrews, near Amity, Ore., on October 19, 1904, when their daughter, Clara, was united in marriage to Mr. Jesse Slmkins, of Hopewell, Or. The bride was attended by Miss Ida 'M. Gooding, while the bride's brother, Lesley J. Andrews, supported tho groom. The wedding inarch was played by Mlsii Zoe Miller, of Amity, Or. She rendered tho march "Teasing Hearts" In a moit accomplished manner, and tho bridal party entered and took their places beneath a large arch of Ivy, and from which two large hearts of roses were suspended. The eremony was performed by Rev. Shepard, of Zena. Tho bride wore a handsome dress of white lansdowne, and carried a bouquet of white carnations. The young couple were tho recipients of many beautiful and valuable presents, They are spending a short honeymoon In Dallas, after which they will be at homo to their friend) at Hopewell, Or.
