Namene Lecture, The Methodist church was crowded last evening, on the occasion of the first of the Niuareno lectures to ho given by Hov. John U. Koohno. A collection was then taken up, nfter which Dr. Koohno again came forward and explained that while no admission fee was charged, those wcro not free lectures, and he desired all to glvo according to tholr ability Ho had re signed from three lecture bureaus to take up this work, and ho dooded on tho honor of his audience to see that his recompense was adequate. Thore was no compulsion; it was simply u matter of honor. Ho also explained that these lectures wore not Intended for ladies, hut fur mon. The ladles didn't need thorn.
