Larson and two cousins from Kennewick, Washington last week. s s s Those attending a 4th of July picnic at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hend ricks. were Mr. and Mrs. Junior Goodell and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim McMillen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mervil Hutchinson and fa mily and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Oden. • • • Sunday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Towne were their daughter, Mrs. Robert Barry and Denise and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Baker and two children all of Salt Lake. • • • Tom and Sharon O'Brien and daughter Katie of Mar- gan Hill, California visited last week at the home of their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wahlert and family. • • • A weekend visitor at the home of Mrs. Louise Ward was Carmen Finch of Nampa. Callers were Mr. and Mrs. ' Wayne Morris of Portland. • • • Guests this week of Mrs. Ethel Mary Rhodes and son, John Beck am are her daugh ters, Mrs. Linda Schwab and Ann of Seattle and Mrs. Susan Christensen of Pen dleton • • • Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Eastman. granddaughter. Mr. Cardwell showed church camp pictures taken at Camp Pinewood in McCII during the morning services at the Owyhee Community Church. Thank you friends and neighbors. Family of Frank G. Johnson SRA Gerald Holmes of Torrejon Air Force Base in Spain was a houseguest st the home of his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Holtpes while he was on leave for the month of June and part of July. His fiance, Brenda Snyder, of El Paso. Tezas also visited for ten days. Mr. and Mrs. Holmes, Jerry and Brenda were guests at a barbecue at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Robinson before Jerry returned to IRENE AND JOE HOBSON acknowledged duty. A family picnic was also former pastor» and read letters of those who held the night before he left. Other guests were his bro ther Larry Holmes and family of Vancouver, Washington and Shirley Laabs of Portland and another brother, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Holmes and family of Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Holmes, Larry Holmes and family and Shirley Laabs were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Holmes on July 14. It was pleasant having all the children home and everyone enjoyed going camp ing and fishinit and vl«»H«~ • • • The Rev. and Mrs. Bill Dotson and daughter of Spokane, Washington visited Mrs. Myrtle Kurtz Saturday Boneless afternoon. He formerly occu pied the Baptist Manse eight or nine years ago which was nezt door to Mrs. Kurtz', and they also lived near Meridian before going to Spokane. He is now minister of a large lop Bonetess church in Spokane. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Van DeWater and son Kent of Caldwell visited Mrs. Dale Baron of Beef Bottom Witt Saturday afternoon. • • • Charles Leuck of Canyon City was a weekend house guest of Mrs. Merle Johnson. Mrs. Johnson’s daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Sweaney of Caidwell joined them Sunday and they all attended the class reunion picnic at the park. Other members of the Leuck family attending the reunion also spent their free time at Mrs. Johnsons. ROAST 3 0 0 The Youth (Teenagers) held a business meeting in the home of Kay and Bruce Fowler’s at Nyssa on Monday July 18. Mrs. Irene Atherton is their new Sunday School teacher. Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Van DeWater spent last week in Deary. Idaho with his sister, Mrs. Dora Smith. They also visited with her aunt and uncle, Ernie and Catherine Cottman and Mr. and Mrs. Claire Burnett in Spokane. Mr and Mrs. Roger S. Lincoln of Payette and Mr. and Mrs. Garold Ropp of Nyssa. The bride elect is a 1977 graduate of Payette High School and is employed by Andrew Seed Co., in Ontario. Ropp is a 1974 graduate of Nyssa High School and is employed by Holcomb Con struction. The wedding will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ontario. You’ll find them behind the removable plates on the front of your heater. On most models, the thermostats can be adjusted by hand or by using a screwdriver. Lower the setting to 120 degrees. That's hot enough for most household uses, although if you have an automatic dishwasher, you may need a somewhat higher temperature. One note of caution: be sure you shut oft the electricity to the heater before adjusting.
