Spain was a houseguest st
the home of his parents. Mr.
and Mrs. Rolland Holtpes
while he was on leave for the
month of June and part of
July. His fiance, Brenda
Snyder, of El Paso. Tezas
also visited for ten days. Mr.
and Mrs. Holmes, Jerry and
Brenda were guests at a
barbecue at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Robinson
before Jerry returned to
IRENE AND JOE HOBSON acknowledged
duty. A family picnic was also
former
pastor» and read letters of those who
held the night before he left.

of Vancouver, Washington
and Shirley Laabs of Portland
and another brother, Mr. and
Mrs. Dean Holmes and
family of Ontario. Mr. and

guests at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Roy Holmes on July
14. It was pleasant having all
the children home and
everyone enjoyed going camp­

City was a weekend house­
guest of Mrs. Merle Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson’s daughter and

Sweaney of Caidwell joined
them Sunday and they all
attended the class reunion
picnic at the park. Other
members of the Leuck family
attending the reunion also
spent their free time at Mrs.
Johnsons.

Lowering thermostat settings can put a real
dent In the amount of energy you use for water
heating. Most water heaters have two ther­
mostats. You’ll find them behind the removable
plates on the front of your heater. On most
models, the thermostats can be adjusted by
hand or by using a screwdriver. Lower the
setting to 120 degrees. That's hot enough for
most household uses, although if you have an
automatic dishwasher, you may need a
somewhat higher temperature. One note of
caution: be sure you shut oft the electricity to
the heater before adjusting. For more energy­
saving ideas, call your local Idaho Power office
and talk to an energy adviser.
