He left the following day. He was with a group on a western weed tour. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Larson of Marsing were May 14 after noon visitors in the Rollo Fenn home. Gib Besendorf was a May 15 afternoon visitor in the L. C. McDermott home. Mr. and Mrs. Bud McDermott and children of Moses Lake were May 18 afternoon visitors in the Mc Dermott residence. They are moving to Marsing. Mrs. Carl Fenn, Mrs. Alfred Simpson and Alene attended Marci Fenn’s May 16 kinder- MRS. KRAUSE GIVEN NEW BANKING TITLE Sharon J. Krause has been named pro-assistant cashier at the Nyssa branch of First Na tional Bank of Oregon, accord ing to Manager Tom G. Sten- kamp. Mrs. Krause joined First Na tional in 1959 at Nyssa where she has spent her entire bank ing career. Her new title fol lows a recent promotion to assistant operations officer, garten graduation rites at On tario. Mrs. M. L. Judd, Mrs. John Fahrenbruch and Mrs. Dale Witt of Newell Heights, Mrs. Dale Ashcraft of Kingman Kolony and Mrs. Willem Mantel of Big Bend attended the recent hos pital benefit tea in Nyssa. The program was on Holland, with many articles on display. Slides were shown of that country. Several of the women were dressed in native Holland cos tumes. NU ACRES BY MARGARET EVANS NU ACRES - A recent meet ing was held at the community hall to organize an extension class. The group decided to wait until September to start the sessions. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Libby of Caldwell and his mother, Mrs. Libby, who is visiting here from Michigan called May 18 at the Alden J. Bryan home. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wise spent the night of May 17 in Boise with their sons, Merle and Billy Wise. On May 18 they visited with his brother who is here from Albany, Calif. Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Evans attended May 15 funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Robinson at the Parma funeral chapel. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ziegler and family of Gayway, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bingaman of Boise, Raymond Sager of Nyssa, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Evans spent a recent weekend at the Methodist church camp near McCall. On May 18, they were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Allen Westcott, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Shelby of Vale, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Haasch of Boise, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Spencer of Caldwell. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kimmes and family spent May 17 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arley Irwin at Nampa. Mr. and Mrs. Art Sparks of Nyssa visited on the evening of May 13 with her aunt, Mrs. Lucy Evans and Janice. Reuben Grasmick of Poca tello visited May 18 with his brother, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Grasmick. Mrs. Claudia Roush and baby from Orvada, Nev. spent the night of May 14 with her aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Grasmick. Mrs. Woodrow Wilson re ceived recent word that her sister, Mrs. I. W. Edison was ill in a Redmond hospital with pneumonia. She has just re cently been dismissed from the hospital following surgery. ACTIVITIES IN ARCADLA^ BY AVO MOELLER * PHONE 372-2733 ' ARCADIA - Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stephenson went to Boise May 16 to meet their son, Ernest Lee Stephenson who ar rived by plane from the air base in Little Rock, Ark. They left May 17 to take him to Seattle. He will leave from there in the near future for Vietnam. Cleve Fleming and son, Ivan of Boise visited May 18 with Mr. and Mrs. Otis Bullard. Fleming is a former resident of Arcadia, having lived with his parents on the place now occupied by Jake Groot. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sigler and family of Boise visited May 17 in the Cecil Houston home. Mr. and Mrs. Art Richard son and Linda of Boise spent a recent weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Cindell and Todd. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Carroll and family of Weiser, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Carroll and Ruth visited May 18 with Mrs. Henry Carroll's aunt, Mrs. Eva Tul- ley and her uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Woods in Boise. They all picnicked at Ann Morrison park. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Feik received a recent telephone call from Mr. and Mrs. Rowan Shir ley in Salt Lake City. They announced the arrival of a six- pound son born May 13. The infant joins a brother and four sisters.
