Mr. and Mrs. Glen Brown attended an Eastern Star meet ing in Homedale on the even ing of Feb. 4 and another in Wilder on the evening of Feb. 6. Mrs. Grace Day was a F eb. 9 dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Van Dewater. E. Piercy was host ess to the Happy Dozen card group on the afternoon of Feb. 7. Attending from Adrian were Mmes. W. E. Ashcraft, Glenn Ward, Marjorie Looney and George DeHaven. Prizewinners were Mmes. Don Fox, Dale Ashcraft, Dyre Roberts and Bernice Toomb. OREGON 2 BUENA VISTA - Among those from this area attending the Feb. 7 Bonnie Privince - Bill Winn wedding at the United Methodist church in Nyssa were her mother, Mrs. Edith Whip ple; her brother Kenneth Whip ple; his financée, Miss Mary Anne Little of Middleton; Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Seuell and family and Mrs. Esther Steph en. Also attending was Mrs. Ted Rookstool, sister of the bride from Orovada, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rookstool and Frank and Richard Wood lawn, all of Orovada, Nev., ar rived Feb. 3 to visit Mrs. Edith Whipple. The men left Feb. 6 for Nevada and returned to this area Saturday evening. Miss Mary Anne Little ar rived Feb. 8 and was an over night guest in the home of Mrs. Edith Whipple. Mrs. Ted Rook stool and Frank, Miss Little, Kenneth and Edith Whipple vis ited Feb. 9 in the Woodrow Seuell home. It is reported that the Seuell’s daughter, Peggy, was in a one-car collision en route home from The Dalles, Ore. She suffered no severe injuries, but was bruised and shaken. Mrs. Esther Stephen and Mrs. Edith Whipple attended Pleasant Hour club meeting F eb. 3 in the home of Mrs.. Strickland. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Da family of Nyssa visited Feb. 9 with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Looney. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Long, Mr. and Mrs. Al Thompson vis ited Feb. 9 with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Merritt at Emmett. Marilyn Parker and David Ramsdell of Eugene spent Feb. 8-9 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Parker. Mr. and Mrs. K. I. Peterson went to Nampa Feb. 9 to hear the men’s quartet of the Back to the Bible broadcast of Lin coln, Nebr., at the Calvary Baptist church. Enroute they visited Mr. and Mrs. John Quig ley. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Mackey visited Feb. 9 with Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Miller and Ruth at Parma. Mrs. Carl Hopper of Ontario visited Feb. 8-9 with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Junior Mat thews. Marjorie and Mary Looney were Feb. 8 overnight guests of the former’s son, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Looney and daugh ters at Boise. In the evening Mrs. Looney took her grand daughters to the stage presen tation of “West Side Story” staged by Borah students at the Capitol High auditorium. Sun day, they all spent the day ski ing at Bogus Basin. Mrs. Ray Drown of Nyssa visited Feb. 9 with her sis ter, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Ash craft. Mrs. Church is the former Muriel Knowles. Miss Kerry Cleaver, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Cleaver of Burns, arrived by bus on the evening of Feb. 6 to visit the Lloyd Cleavers. She visited the Nyssa schools Friday and returned home Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Day of the Owyhee dam area were recent visitors in the Lloyd Cleaver home. Martin Tanner of Vale spent a recent weekend with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Tan ner. Another son, Rollo of On tario was a Feb. 8 evening vis itor. Craig Bair was a Feb. 8 over night and Feb. 9 guest in the Roscoe Tanner home. and daughter of Lewiston, Idaho, arrived Feb. 7 to visit Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Topliff. They left Saturday morning for their home. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tooley and Jody, Mr. and Mrs. Sam McConnell were Feb. 9 afternoon visitors in the Top liff home. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Ekan- ger of Caldwell visited Feb. 9 with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Ekanger, and with the Bill Richesin family. They were all evening dinner guests in the Richesin home. Mr. and Mrs. John Strickland entertained with a Feb. 4 even ing card party. Guests were Mrs. Esther Stephen; Messrs, and Mmes. Don Strickland, Glen Strickland, Ira Price, Mancel Bishop and Ray Strickland. Mr. and Mrs. Weir Hoffman of Boise, Mrs. Esther Stephen and Wes Story, were Feb. 9 din Dr. John W. Olsen left Feb. ner guests in the Glenn Hoff man home. The dinner was in 7 for Portland to attend a dental observance of the February meeting. While there he visited birthday anniversaries of Mrs. a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. Weir Hoffman, Mrs. Glenn Hoff and Mrs. Tom Flaschner. man and Mrs. Stephen. He drove on to Corvallis Feb. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Jones, 9 to visit another daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Knowles Trudy Olsen. He returned home visited on the evening of Feb. Feb. 10. Twenty-eight area residents were served cookies and cof fee by the club women, and a total of $32 was collected. Next meeting of the Polly annas will be Thursday, March 6 in the home of Mrs. Jesse Martinez. The Herschel and Al Thomp sons were Feb. 3 luncheon and evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Walters in Boise. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Borge were Feb. 7 evening guests of the Carl Begemans. Mr. and Mrs. John L. Thiel and family of Boise were Feb. 8 afternoon guests of her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Fox. Members of the Glen Arnold family of Boise were Feb. 9 dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Olen Arnold. The latter couple visited Feb. 8 with Mrs. Pauline Jameson in Nampa. Mrs. Bill Toomb was a Feb. 9 afternoon visitor and evening dinner guests in the home of Mrs. Mary Hatt. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bowers were Saturday afternoon guests in the Charles Bowers home. Mrs. Lester Strawn has been quite ill with the flu, and Mrs. Pearl Horn of Homedale has been helping to care for her. Nancy Carter and baby visit ed her on Feb. 5. They also visited their husband and father, Paul Carter at the hos pital in Pendleton. He planned to return home on Feb. 11. Teresa and Sherri Stacy of Apple Valley were recent week end guests of their grandpar ents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Con ant. Mr. and Mrs. John Rich ards of Parma were Feb. 5 luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Osborn. Members of the Osborn family were evening dinner guests in the Richards home. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Conant and Jim, Teresa and Sherri Stacy were Feb. 9 dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mitch Anderson in Vale. Mrs. Lester Stacy ar rived late that afternoon and her daughters returned home with her. PERSONALS Brad and Randy Flinders of Ontario were weekend guests of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.
