Maynard Riles Members of the R. C. Wey mouth, Harold Wilson and Jim Yost families were honored at a recent farewell party held in Nyssa south park. The potluck dinner was spon sored by the congregation of St. Bridget’s Catholic church. The Weymouths have moved to Ontario. The Wilsons will leave soon for Homedale where he will be affiliated with Ideal Gas and Appliance company. The Yosts will make their home in Emmett where he re cently purchased an interest in the sale yard. All were presented with going-away gifts. •••-- «*• MR. and MRS. L. lest of Parma, Mrs. L. A. Maulding of Nyssa and Mrs. I. Robert Keller of Vale. The latter is new district director of garden clubs. Mrs. Raymond Poulton of Parma is a new mem ber of the group. During the business meeting, plans were made for the ANK booth at Malheur county fair. Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Deffer have given two chairs to the club for Malheur Memorial nursing home. Next meeting will be a covered dish luncheon on Sept. 10 at the Gerrit Timmerman home. -- »•* BRIDGE CLUB POSTPONES SESSIONS UNTIL SEPT. 9 Nyssa duplicate bridge club met Monday evening in the Episcopal church basement with seven tables in play. Winners in the north - south group were Mrs. Houston Wilson and Roy Nishizaki, first; Mrs. Ray Larson and Mrs. David Sara- zin, second; Mrs. Ken Danford and Mrs. Ray Russell, third. High scorers in the east-west group were Mrs. Ann Halberg and Mrs. Roy Nishizaki, first; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Oxnam, second; Mr. and Mrs. George Mitchell, third. A bridge session is not planned for Monday evening due to the Labor Day holiday.
