Rebekahs Initiate Men's, Women's 3 New Members Softball Meets The Nyssa Rebekah lodge held initiation services for three new members at their regular meeting Thursday evening. During the business meeting plans were discussed for taking the white Bible to Ontario to be presented to their Rebekah lodge Wednesday evening, May 7. The Bible was re cently presented to the Nyssa lodge by the Rebekah lodge of Vale, a ceremony to promote visitation among the lodges. The presentation will be made by Mrs Sam McCon nell, drill captain of the local lodge and her drill team A covered dish luncheon was served at the close of the meeting. Mrs. Yergensen Honored Mrs. Elden Yergensen who is leaving soon for Cedar City. Utah was honored with a farewell gift by members o f the First Ward Relief Society at their Tuesday afternoon meeting. The foreoart of the afternoon was spent in textile painting followed by the social hour and serving of refre.-hments. Mrs. Delbert Hooper was in charge of the program which included two selections sung by Shirley Carlson and her four broth ers, several readings by Lucille Pett and two dance numbers by Irene Brower, Tanya Burr.ingham and Linda Myrick accompanied by Eve lyn Johansen. •j.__ At a softball meeting Monday it was decided that Nyssa will have its own league this summer instead of inviting Ontario team-, to partici pate, Hugh Tobler announced. An organizational meeting has been called for Wednesday night of next week.
