Nineteen hundred and seventy-three miles of electric power lines— all to farms of the Snake River Valley— have been built by Idaho Power Company during the past three years. Elec tricity is now being furnished to nearly 6,000 additional farms by means of these lines, making a total of over 25,700 electrified farms in our service area— one of the highest records of farm elec trification in the nation. Idaho Power is continuing to expand its facilities to bring elec tricity to more farms in outlying areas with all possible haste. The job has been so great, and materials in some instances have been so scarce, that there are still many miles of scheduled construction yet to be completed. We are doing everything possible to finish the job speedily. Idaho Power Company ¡$ engaged in a 55 million dollar construc tion program the greatest in its history. Two hydro-electric power plants have been completed on Snake River since war's end, another will be finished this fall, and two more are under construction.
