T H E N Y S S A GATE CTTY JOURNAL OREGON TRAIL Mr and Mrs R W Holmes made a business trip to Welser Friday Mr and Mrs. L. C. Olson spent the week end at the Rookstool and Olson homes Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Bowen and family spent Saturday in Boise. Frank Parr who has been ill for the past week with septic sore throat was able to resume his teach ing duties at Nyssa Monday. Mrs. J. B. Smith who has been ill ill for sometime is able to be up again. Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Fry made a business trip to Ontario Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Toll and Mr. and Mrs. F S. Byers and family were Sunday callers at the R. W. Holmes home. . C. Driscoll and Mr. Gusman of Jordan Valley were in this commun ity on business Thursday. Darrell Mattson was in Caldwell Saturday. Bob Holmes made a business trip to Boise Monday. Rev. and Mrs. Chandler and Mr. Martin of Caldwell were callers at the F. G. Holmes home Sunday. . ARCADIA Mrs. Gilbert Swan of Los Anegles Is visiting her sister, Mrs. George Moeller while her husband who is with the U. S. navy is stationed in Hawaii. Mrs. Swan is the former Miss Hilda McKinney and visited her sister here a number of times before. John Zittercob went to Portland Friday with a load of cattle. Harold Dail visited his mother. Mrs. Anna Dail Sunday evening. Services are being conducted each evening at the Arcadia school house by Miss Sarah Humphry and Miss Cobbs of Payette. Mr. and Mrs. John Snow returned last week from Idaho Falls where they visited her son and family for a week. Mr and Mrs. Wid Lay of Powers, Ore., arrived the first of the week for a visit with his brothers Olen and Bob Lay. Bill Hipp was a business visitor in Baker last week. Miss Hazel Hickey and her mo- thehr visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barnhart and family in Elgin, Ore., last week. A large crowd attended the social evening at the Arcadia school audi torium Thursday evening, Feb. 28. A program was put on by Mrs. Theo.
