Also of Mt. Hebo Lodge, LO.O.F. Our Brother Jackson lived an up right noble life, and served his country In the hour of Its need as a heroic defendor, who was willing to lay down his life on the battle Held that his nation might be preserved. He expressed faith In God and a readiness to go out Into the higher life. He departed this life at Al bany, Ore., Jan. 19, 1922, being 74 years, 10 months and 7 days of age at the time of his death. When he was a small boy his par ents moved to Clark County. Ia,. where he grew to manhood. He joined Company K, 46 th Iowa Vol unteers. and served his country In defense of Union and Freedom. He Vas married to Elmira Wilkinson, Feb. 7, 1276 at Indlaolla, la. From this union four children were born namely Mrs. Lillian Hlnner, of Al bany, Arthur Jackson, Tillamook, and Mrs. Mary Huston of Tilla mook. The fourth child, John F., died when 4 years of age. Comrade Jackson came to Tilla mook county in October 1894, where he has since resided, until the last gone on a tour of the beach resorts. I Mrs. W. F.
