Ryan Scott Benton, 21, Port- land, has successfully completed Criminal Mischief II diversion; case dismissed. ROBERT J. BAUGHMAN Robert J. Baughman, 63, Grants Pass, died June 28, 2007. A celebration of life was held July 2 and another on July 5 in Hillsboro. Mr. Baughman was born March 16, 1944, in Hillsboro, to Harlan and Vir- ginia Baughman. He served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Tektronix for 25 years, then for AAA Heating and Cool- ing. In 1983, he married Barbara Lynne. They made their home in Hillsboro until moving to Grants Pass in 2004. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jamie of Forest Grove and Aaron of Grants Pass; two daughters, TaLanda Stockwell of Vernonia, and Samantha Inman of Forest Grove; three stepsons, David Brown of Portland, Gary Brown of North Carolina, and Daniel Brown of Cornelius; and eight grandchildren. VERA MAE COLE Vera Mae Cole, 78, Beaverton, died June 26, 2007. A private celebration of life has been held. Mrs. Cole was born July 20, 1928, in Terry, Montana, to George and Don- alda (Nichols) Dixson. She was raised in Terry. In 1947, she married Donald Del- bert Cole. They later divorced and she moved to Southern Oregon in 1958, to Portland area in 1964, and to Vernonia in 1967. She moved to Beaverton in 1986. She worked for Tektronix for 20 years. She was preceded in death by a ESTELLE LOUISE COSTAIN Estelle Louise Costain, 99, Forest Grove, died July 4, 2007. Graveside services were held July 7 at Vernonia Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Lois Wagner of the Wilshire United Methodist Church officiated, followed by interment. Ms. Costain was born April 8, 1908, in Parker, South Dakota, to Berton John “B.J” and Katie Gertrude (Run- dell) Costain. She was raised in North Dakota after her family moved there when she was four. She later moved to Portland where she worked for Emanuel Hospital for 25 years. She moved to Forest Grove, then to Hills- boro, then back to Forest Grove. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Meril, Wayen, and Harley Costain; and a sister, Muriel Acord. Survivors include a brother, Floyd Costain of Milnor, N. Dak.; two sisters, Eleanor Thompson of Vernonia and Mayvis Solberg of Fargo, N. Dak.; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Graveside services were held July 21 at Pleasant View Cemetery in Newberg. Mrs. Irwin was born October 29, 1932, in Sherwood, to Percy and Rita Bristow Kiser. Her family moved to Dil- ley when she was a young woman, then later to Cherry Grove. She gradu- ated from Gaston High School in 1951. In 1953, she married Michael Irwin. They made their home in Gaston. She owned and operated the Gaston Beau- ty Shop for over 20 years. She retired after moving her business to Bev’s Beauty Parlor in Forest Grove in 1998. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Michael Irwin of Banks, Larry Ir- win of Gaston, Corry Irwin of Trail, and Tim Irwin of Raymond, Washington; a brother, Orlan Kiser of Rockaway two sisters, Loretta Hoodenpyl of Gaston, and Lula Bell Kiser of Rockaway; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grand- children. DELMAR LAWRENCE JEPSON Delmar Lawrence Jepson, 75, Banks, died July 8, 2007. Mr. Jepson was born July 22, 1931, in Clatskanie, to Lawrence and Mary Katherine (Turner) Jepson. He was raised in Clatskanie until the family moved to Birkenfeld in 1939. He at- tended Vernonia High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. In 1953, he married Barbara Ann Perry. They made their home in Birken- feld, Seaside, Sheridan, Newport and McMinnville before moving to Banks in 1984. He worked in the timber industry, owning and operating L. MILKOVICH Vincent P. “Vince” Milkovich, 68, Aloha, died July 5, 2007. Mr. Milkovich was born April 10, 1939, in Murray, Utah, to Louis and Louise Yengich Milkovich. He was raised in Utah, until moving to Beaver- ton. He graduated from Beaverton High School in 1957. He served in the Ore- gon Army National Guard. In 1961, he married Josephine Crutchfield. They made their home in Beaverton until moving to Aloha in 1968. He owned and operated Plumb- ing Materials Supply in Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul of Aloha; a daughter, Julie Haney of Mist; two sisters, Eve Killpack of Beaverton, and Josie Allen of Salt Lake City, Utah; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. DORIS MAE MOSSBURGH Doris Mae Mossburgh, 85, Forest Grove, died June 30, 2007. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 27, at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Mrs. Mossburgh was born February 15, 1922, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Ches- ter and Marie Hibshman Jessup. She was raised in Indiana, studied music in Binghamton, New York, then attended the Baptist Bible Seminary in John- sonville, N.Y. In 1942, she married Leslie Moss- burgh. They made their home in Os- burn, Id. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Charles Jessup; and a sister, Vera Craven. Survivors include two daughters, Leslee Sipp of Banks, and Linda John- son of Crossett, Arkansas; four grand- children; and three great-grandchil- dren. MARCELLA ANNA OLSEN Marcella Anna Olsen, 91, Hillsboro, died June 28, 2007. Funeral services were held July 4 at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Mrs. Olsen was born March 9, 1916, in Argyle, Minnesota, to Edmond and Catherine Safranski Charboneau. She moved to Oregon with her family when she was eight and was educated in Linnton and Portland. In 1934, she married Ernest T. Der- rick. He died in 1953. She married John Olsen in 1973. She worked for Hills- boro Clinic until retiring in 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Edmund Char- boneau; a sister, Genevieve Purkapile; and a grandson. Survivors include two sons, De- Wayne Derrick of Scappoose, and Patrick Derrick of Vernonia; a daughter, Sally Montee of Portland; a brother, Ed- ward Charboneau of Scappoose; five sisters, Rose Stidham of Aberdeen, Washington, Bernice Mauk of Molalla, Catherine McFeron of Milwaukie, Lo- raine Davis of Gresham, and Agnes Beane of Klamath Falls; a stepson, John R. BRADFORD “RED” RUSSOM Bradford “Red” Russom, 81, Lewis- ton, Idaho, died July 5, 2007. A memo- rial service was held July 12 in Lewis- ton. Mr. Russom was born December 22, 1925, in Ringling, Oklahoma, to Grover and Ruby Russom. At the age of 16, he began his career as an elec- trical power lineman. In 1949, he married Trilma Wood- son. They lived in Vernonia from 1952 to 1955, then moved to Alaska. He was preceded in death by his wife; a sister, Floy; and a daughter, Bonnie. Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne Hjelm of Lewiston, Id.; 10 grandchildren; and many cousins. Remembrances are suggested to the American Heart Association.
