The celebration will begin with staging at 9:00 a.m. in the parking lot across from Hare Field, on NE Grant Street in Hillsboro, with the parade be- gining at 11 a.m. From Hare Field, the parade route contin- ues east to Cornell Road, south on Main St., West on Main to 2nd Ave., north on 2nd to Grant St., and east back to Hare Field. The $20.00 entry fee bene- fits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland. Entry forms for the parade have been mailed to all previous participants. Staley’s Manager Jay Rizvi Staley’s, at the junction of Hwy 26 and Hwy 47, has been under new management since January and the changes are noticeable. Since new manager Jay Rizvi took over, prices, in- cluding gas and cigarettes, are down, while quality and service are up. He and his six employees work together to provide fast, friend- ly service. Rizvi enjoys “seeing familiar faces,” but likes “seeing new faces, too.” Some of the changes being enjoyed by Staley’s customers include good coffee – made fresh every hour – and expand- ed fresh deli items. The morn- ing deli selections were picked to appeal especially to truckers and loggers, as well as com- muters. In the future, Rizvi plans to change over to Shell gasoline, remodel and expand, and wants to be able to accept Ore- gon Trail cards. For now, Staley’s is again of- fering free coffee with your fuel fill-up. If you haven’t stopped in at Staley’s for a while, take time to see the changes.
