July 5 - Edward Jason Mil ler, 25, Vernonia, was arrested on a Cowlitz County, Wash., warrant for contempt of court. He was taken to CCSO jail. dalized. June 22 - Abandoned vehi cles on Adams Ave., Heather Ln. and E. Bridge St. were tagged for tow; all were moved by the owners. Ricky D. Loving, Toledo, ar rested on warrants from Ver nonia Justice Court and Lin coln County Sheriff’s Office; taken to CCSO jail. June 23 - Jeffery A. Wilker son, Birkenfeld, arrested for DUII; taken to CCSO jail. June 25 - Two female juve niles cited for tobacco violation. June 26 - Burglary of busi ness on Bridge St. was burglar ized. Suspect(s) forced entry and stole cash. Crime scene was investigated and informa tion sent to crime lab. Attempted burglary of busi ness on Madison Ave.; security system apparently activated by attempted entry. Unable to lo cate any suspects in area. Two male juveniles were cit ed for curfew violation. June 27 - Interviewed victim of an assault that occurred in Mult. Co. and sent report to Mult. Co. D.A’s office Female juvenile charged with criminal mischief; referred to Juvenile Dept. Monetarily, this resulted in at least a $1,000 dollar fine for the people involved. There is one aspect that I feel Director Greer left unresolved. I think it is ob vious that some people were denied tags because of his staff's actions and are thus en titled to some compensation. I feel that everyone who was de nied a tag because of these in appropriate employee tactics should have been notified so they could take legal recourse. With fee hunting operations in Eastern Oregon receiving up wards of $5,000 for elk hunts, the scale is set for financial ret ribution. Izaak Walton League meetings are on 33485 E.
