Klamath connty is much more: fortunate than many of the other counties of the state, in that we have here a full health unit, direct-! ed by a full time health officer, and also our public health association. Klamath County Public Health, association is a branch of the State Tuberculosis association, and having, such an association in our own county, we are given a stated per centage of the Christmas seal pro ceeds to be spent in our own county for health education, for materials to prevent disease, and last, hut not least, to help pay for corrections of defects in those who are not able to pay for their own. The other portion of the Christ mas seal money is sent to the state association, who in turn send a small percentage to the national as sociation. This year the state tu berculosis association Is paying the salary ot the first public health nurse to be had in Lake county, and we are helping In this, with the seal sale money we turn into the state association. Five years ago the children in Lake county did their bit in helping to pay. for the first public health nurse in Klamath county. there is something more nearly ap- December IS."
