Ehrlich is the flamboyant San Francisco attorney upon whose liie the television series "Sam Benedict" is based. ltuby told his Dallas lawyer. Tom Howard, Monday that he had a "spur of the moment" urije to kill Lee Harvey Oswald to avenae the Kennedy family and because he thought Oswald was part of a Communi-t plrt. How aid planned to have him plead temporary insanity and stressed that he felt Ruby had been "emotionally disturbed." Called by Sister Ehrlich said he got a tele phone call from Mrs. Eva firant, Quay's sister, and that she asked him if he would defend her brother. Since Ruby already has re tained How ard. Ehrlich said she should have him call his San Francisco office. If the attorney asks Ehrlich to head up or organize a de fense for Ruby, would he ac cept? "I would give it a hell of a lot of thought," he replied. Howard was not immediately available for comment, but his wife said that someone from Ehrlich's office in San Francisco had been in contact with her husband. Howard said a preliminary ex Police Recover Stolen Goods Oregon State Police are in vestigating the theft of bowl ing equipment from an automo bile parked in the driveway of the owner. Mrs. Wylene La Plante. 5229 Cottage Avenue, it was reported Tuesday. Mrs. LaPlante told police that a white bowling bag containing a bowling ball and shoes valued at some $W) was removed from her car sometime Monday night.
