Settings for the "Thouiand and One Nights," famous stories
presumably told by Scheherazade to her king husband, were no
more exo'ic than that created by Reames Country Club Auxiliary for
their "Night in Baghdad" dance Saturday, April 20. Yards and yards
of gold thread cloth were draped and arranged with countless pil
lows and Persian rugs for the throne of Sultan Adolph Z a m s It y ,
shown above with one of his lovely harem, Mrs. Lloyd Proclc. Adding
further to the picture wore palm trees, plume fans and a tall gold
pedestal bowl of gilded fruit on the serving table. Final touch was
the flying carpet, hung at the far end of the room.
Bob Mest as the Sheik of Araby, below, added his bit to the
lively intermission entertainment.

"Nymphs of the Nile," above, stole the show with thoir dance
routine, complete with smoking brass urns and clicking castanets. Left
to right, are George Brosterhous, Bob Chilcote and Burge Mason.
Also in the lineup were Howard Pernell and Lloyd Prock.
At right, Mrs. William Bradshaw performs as the girl friend of
the "whirling dervish." Shown at left is Gene Favell, who served as
master of ceremonies, and at center, LaMar Jensen, who directed the
Starlighters for dancing.
