Director ' Visits Aux. On March 11. Helen Hubbard. ' Giants Pass, distnct director ot Lions Auxiliaries, was enter tained by members of the Toketee Ladies Auxiliary at dinner in the Round Table Room of the Winema Hotel. The dinner was followed by a joint meeting with the Klarriath Falls Lions Auxiliary at the home oj Mrs. W. C. Davis where Mrs. Hubbard gave her district reports. ;Toketee women at the dinner included .Mrs. Barney Cavan augh, Mrs. James Misfelt, Mrs. Preston Card, Mrs. Ellis Ochs, Mr. Harvey Denham and Mr. Paul Surprenant. The regular meeting of Toke tee Auxiliary was March 28 at the home of Mrs. Ellis Ochs. Guest speaker was Dr. Jim Noel. His topic was fluoridation. A meeting of the nominationg committee for next year's officers uas planned. She was married in a single ring ceremony to Thomas Logan Hemingway, son of Mr. and Mrs. .lames R. Hemingway of San Ma teo, Calif., at 2 oclock in the afternoon, at the Central United Presbyterian Church. The clergy men were the Rev. Wayne Julier, formerly of Lakeview and now of the First Presbyterian Church at Gold Beach, and the Rev. George Ashvvood of the Eugene church. The bride, who was given in marriage by her1 father, wore a full length gown of nylon sheer organza with short sleeves. A dainty ivy applique design trimmed the neckline and down both sides of the full skirt. The neckline at the back .was empha sized with a bow trim. The headpiece of satin and pearlized flowers held a bouffant veil of silk illusion which descended just; below the shoulders. Her bouquet was of white bud roses and chrysanthemum with .ivy. Her heirloom keepsake was a Swiss petit point handkerchief from her grandmother, and a 1940 penny lor good luck. Her attendants were Janet Greenbaum of Bellevievv, Wash., maid of honor; Jeanelte (Mrs. Ravel Robinson of Beaverton; Sally Jo (Mrs. Theodore! Good ing of Salem, and Roxanne Brown of Salem. They were all attired in similar frocks of pale yellow organza, street length, with a white embroidery panel down the front and trimming the sleeves. A small bow marked the waistline at both front and bock. Their flowers were yellow and white daisies with yellow roses and ivy. Best man was William Moore of Belvedere-Tiburon, Calif. Ush ers were Theodore J. Gooding, Donald Neu and David Amoroso of San Mateo, Calif.; Robert lla- kala of White Sands, Wash., Pedcr Knudsen of Orincla, Calif.; and Samuel Far Carmel. Calif. The decorations at (lie church included a large bowl of white gladioli and greenery, and white pew bows. At the reception which followed in the Village Green Room of the Eugene Hotel the theme of yellow and while was carried out by the floral arrangement1; with ivy centerpieces and green erv. The wedding cake was served by Mrs. Wlater I. Wilbur of Sheridan, an aunt of the bride. She was assisted by Mrs. Joseph Collins. Also aunts of the bride were Mrs. James Lamberson of Zenith, Wash., serving the cof fee, and Mrs. Robert L. Leigh-! ton. Eugene, pouring the tea. Ann Leighton and Patricia Leighton were at the gift table. Attending the guest book was Mrs. Robert Joseph Jr., of Salem. Starting on a wedding trip to' the Oregon coast, the bride changed to a beige and white wool tweed two-piece suit with bone patent shoes and bag and white hat and gloves. The couple returned to Salem on April where they are residing at 1136 Leslie Street. The bride is a graduate of Lake view High School and the Uni versity of Oregon w here she was affiliated with Kappa Alpha Thetn sorority. The bridegroom is a law stu dent at Willamette University it Salem where he is affiliated with Sigma Chi. and Delta Thela Phi, a legal fraternity. The bride's grandmother. Mrs. Robert A. Leighton of Eugene arranged the flowers (or the re ccption. The bride's mother chose for the wedding a champagne silk dress with yellow chiffon turban. Her other accessories were in the champagne shade and she wore a corsage of tangerine flowers fastened at the waist. Mrs. Hem ingway was in a scagreen bro cade taffeta rock with fuschia chiffon turban and bone acces sories. Her corsage was of baby roses to match the shade of the turban. HERALD AND NEWS.
