Memo To Teeners A teen-aner who neglects her skin will be exceptionally lucky if. she doesn't come up with more skin problems than she deserves. During these years it is doubly important to eat a good, bal anced diet and get plenty of exercise. You must keep your; skin scrupulously clean to ward off possible infections. At this stage you will want to wash your face el least twice a day. Use of a soft facial brush will be beneficial. As you wash, give yourself a gentle massage with upward, circular motions. This will stimulate circulation of the blood. If you let your skin become sluggish, normal body waste ma terials tend to collect in one spot and contribute to whiteheads and other blotchy problems. No mutter how conscientious vou are about following a beauty routine, you can defeat yourself by using unclean combs, brushes and washcloths. Each time you shampoo your hair or have your hair set at a beauty salon, clean your combs and brushes. Keep them sparkling. You should also change your pillow case and see that your hair scarves are as fresh as vour new coiffure. Also washing your lace wun a Hirtv washcloth is logically step in the wrong direction, al though many of us do it without thinkino. However, by following some basic uidelines you can so place your cut flowers to get the best ad vantage from their beauty, color and design. As a general rule, use low ar rangements of flowers for table centerpieces, low coffee tables and under mirrors and pictures. Place dramatic, impressive masses of nowers on large tames, or use them for large wall areas or to flank pictures and mirrors In addition to using flowers in proper proportion to tne space available, and in relation to other accessorieSf, vary the effect by employing different basic flower designs such as the vertical, crescent, Hogarth curve, symmet rical and asymmetrical arrange ments. When my third child was born, I had a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old at home. Because of rules. I could not see the children while I was in the hospital. I was afraid they would think I had descried them, so I bought small items from the dime store for each day I expected to be away. These were wrapped in pretty paper and packed in the suitcase 1 took to the hosital. DEAR POLLY-I have found a soluliun for those who always for get to return library books on lime. Use a piece of paper for a bookmark and write, in large let ters, the dale the book is due back. Every lime you open the book to read, you will be cons scions of how much time is lelt before you have to pay a fine. It really works for me. C. Y. OLLY DEAR POLLY-When sewing I used to have trouble with lined garments. It was hard to make nice sharp poinls at the ends of darts when the fabric and lining were stitched together. 1 have earned to make basting stitches right down the center line of the dart through both pieces of ma terial before sewing the dart. This way you secure both fabric and lining without anv slipping or sliding.-MUS. N. G. 11.
