I Mount Shasta Club Meets MOUNT SHASTA Thirty four.cancellcd due to the 1 1 o r m y member j of the newly formed Mount Shasta Garden - Club en joyed a luncheon at the Red House on April 1. Afterwards they adjourned to the old armory in Mount Shasta City Park for a meeting where guest speakers gave the group pointers on land scaping and the fundamentals of getting started. The scheduled tour of the park for a site for beautification by the club was weatlier. Guests were Mrs. B. C. John son, Klamath District director, Mrs. Bernard Valk, district sec retary, Mrs. Hugh O'Connor, past state landscape chairman, all of Klamath Falls, and Mrs. E. C. Gen. and Mrs. Manuel Cabrera recent ly made the betrothal announcement of their daughter in Mexico City. She is a graduate of Institute Rafael Ros si and Mexico City College and is presently bilingual secretary to the president of Mazal Optical Company. The future bridegroom, graduate of KUHS, attended Uni versity of Oregon and was affiliated with Sigma Phi Ep silon fraternity. He will receive his degree in September from Mexico City College. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Estin Kiger Sr. of Klamath Falls, who will go to Mexico for their son's wedding. 'imiilinPii . i v BRIDE-TO-BE Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Brill of Medford announce the engagement of their daughter, Judith Ann, to Robert Keith Addington, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Addington of Klamath Falls. The bride-elect is a senior in elementary education at Southern Oregon College. Her fiance is a senior in animal husbandry at California Polytechnic Institute at San Luis Obispo. He plans to enter veterinary school at Washington State Universify. The couple will be married in a December ceremony. Eppen bach, Margaretville, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Gay Diane, to Liston Neal Purvine, son of Dr. and Mrs. Winston D. Purvine, this city. The bride elect will receive a degree in nursing in June from Duch ess Community College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. The couple plan a September wedding. The future bridegroom at tended Klamath Falls schools, is a graduate of KUHS and OTI where in 1962 he reeeived a degree in electronics and an associate in engineering degree. Presently he is with IBM in Poughkeepsie until late April when he will be returned to the Los Angeles area with the company. New Arrival Is Announced MERRILL Mrs. Dollie Hunni-1 cult and Mrs. G. W. Officld of Merrill have been notified of the birth of a great-granddaughter born to Mr. and Mrs. George Price Jr. of Arvada, Colo. The child, born March 5 and weighing 6 pounds 14 ounces, has been named Merrill Nadine and joins an eight-year-old sister, Kathryn, at home. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hunnicutt, Merrill, and Mr. and Mrs. George Price Sr. of Sacramento. CZECH CLUB MEETS MAL1N Mrs. Blanche Oliva entertained the Czech Ladies Club March 29, at her home with 12 memhers present. Prizes werei awarded to Agnes Drazil, Anna Hartlerode, Rose Baley and Anna Polivka.
