BOWEH Ttie South may liave lost the Civil War, but its architecture has won the test of tune. Wlien you think of gracious hos pitality and living in a comfort ably grand manner, you may well conjure up in mind's eye a pic ture not too much different from the artist's rendering of this House of trie Week design. Outside, B4G has a graceful en trance portico with columns ris ing 17 feet to Uie porch rool. Inside, there's a sectacular spi ral staircase coming up from wide reception foyer to the broad hull on tlie bedroom floor. The home w as designed by Ar chitect Lester Cohen, who sought to capture the gracious and ex pansive mood of Southern archi tecture. Glide uo the curving stairway to the uper hall and you reach the bedrooms. The master bed room, with walk-in closet and shower bathroom, lakes up the left side of this level. The fam ily bathroom is at the back of the main hall convenient to the children's bedrooms. In addition to tlie garage and basement for household storage there are adequate closets throughout tlie home. Especially notable is the oversize linen clos et next to tlie upstairs bath. guests fill up the living room in this home, they can spill out across tlie foyer, across the dining room and into tlie fjmily room an unbroken distance of 52' k feet from wall to wall. Despite the luxurious size of some rooms, this is no mansion. Living area on the first floor is 982 square feet, with another 715 on tlie second bringing tlie total to 1.B97.
