Alexander Muss Sons, Inc. which announced the rebates Wednesday, explained that they represent $124,674 in tax refunds. Nassau County and Hempstead Town had collected too much in taxes between 1958 and this year, and returned the money to the company. Alexander Muss explained that he felt it was only right that the tenants should get the money. He said he hopes to get the checks to everyone by Christmas Day. He has a fine position and should amount to something someday. Chuck has dated . many girls in the last live years but he never was serious until now, Along came this little snip who is deter mined to get him by hook or by crook. The big problem is the hours he keeps. Every Satur day nieht he is out until 4:00 m., then he has to get up early Sunday morning to cart the girl to church. We, don't see him un til early Monday .morning. The snip has such a strangle hold on Chuck it has made me dislike her intensely. I'll never ac cept her into the family and he knows it. Do I have a right to feel this way? Please tell me what you think about the awful hours he keeps. I get no help from my husband. HURT MOTHER Dear Mother: A fellow 23 Is a grows man. His mother should not be telling him what time to come borne. Mora Important than the hours is your feeling of hostility toward the girl. Your declaration of war has put you out on a limb and you're going to find that limb of spite. Stop playing watch dog and find something to admire about the girl. A mother who attacks her sob's choice forces him to defend her. The girl then becomes terribly Important to him and sometimes he marries her -L , rrTT I tj INDS SATURDAY 1 I Vat" l,k " CnHmwn from 1;0Q P.M. He said "Who.'s been smoking?" I told him the electrician had been in to fix the wall-heaters. He asked me when electricians started to wear lipstick. I knew I was sunk. Now he says the only way I can make things right is to stop smoking. I enjoy smoking and don t see why I should quit. tried and I can't do it. What is your liberal opinion?-CHlMNEY KATE Dear Chimney: Can't never did anything aod It never will. My liberal" opinion Is that a worn. aa who agreed to quit smoking should have stayed off the weed told her husband she was welshing on her agreement. Sneak log puffs behind bis back pub you at an 11-year-old level ana lying about It to cover up compounded the felony. Dear Ann Landers: This may seem like a small problem to you but it is causing me sleepless nights. I recently divorced a man after three years of trying in vain to get him to grow up. I won t go into detail because he is no longer a problem. I'm writing about my bed sheets and pillow cases. They keep com ing back from the laundry with my old initials stamped in indel ible ink. True, the initials are in the corners, but I know they're there and it has a bad effect on me. Do you know of anything that will remove these marks? COD- DY Dear Coddy: A scissors. Dear Ann Landers: My husband and I agreed before we married1 last July that we would both quit smoking. I was a heavier smoker than Clyde so I knew it would be more difficult for me. Last Jan. uary I couldn't stand it so I start ed to smoke behind his back. knew if he caught me the war would be on. It put total strength at between 450 and 500. The new edition of Jane's said the Russians based their strategy on tbe belief that should war come they could sweep the seas clear of shipping and starve America's NATO allies into sub missiona feat Adolf Hitler al i most accomplished. The word is "Cadillac" and the meaning, of course, is "quality". And it is understandable, we think, that Cadillac should have become a part of the universal vocabulary. For its devotion to excellence has been of such a degree and of such a tenure that the car has become the world-wide symbol of everything good and desirable in a manufactured product. This truth has never been more beautifully expressed than it is in the current Cadillac. Inspiring to look at . . . thrilling to drive . . . rewarding to own it is truly the master achieve ment of motordom's master builders. And Cadillac has imposed on its construction the most rigid standards and restrictions ever placed over the assembly of a motor car. More than fourteen hundred separate inspections now guard the quality and goodness of every Cadillac and the results of this crusade for perfec tion can be seen . . . and felt . . . and sensed. Here is superb craftsmanship in every body line ,. . . skillful tailoring and magnificent workmanship in every interior . . . and wonderful solidity and quietness in every mile of ride. Don't you owe yourself a personal appraisal of this 1961 "car of cars"? Your Cadillac dealer will provide the car and the keys for a demonstration at any time.
