OREGON PAGE S-rB, Bend Rites Unite Couple SILVER LAKE Beverly Iverson became the bride of Virgil Little in a double rins ceremonv Octo ber 19 at the Church of Christ in Bend, with the Rev. Roy Hol land officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bannister of Paisley, uncle and aunt of the bride were the attendants. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Iverson of Silver Lake, wore a brown suit comple mented by white accessories and a corsage of rosebuds. Following the 2 o'clock cere mony a reception was held at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Iver son. Mrs. Iverson served the wed ding cake and Mrs. Maurice Iverson was in charge of gifts. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Iverson and Helen Iverson, parents and sister of the bride from Silver Lake; I. J. Iver son, grandfather of the bride, and Mrs. Ray Harlan of Lakeview: Mrs. Bob Carlon, Paisley; Harold Edwin Iverson, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Iverson and Mrs. Roy Hol land, Bend, and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Karn of Portland. Following a wedding trip to Sa linas the newlywcds are at home in Silver Lake where he is em ployed by Lawrence Iverson. DunsmuirOES Installation DUNSML'IR Elaine Dews was Installed as worthy matron of Dunsmir Chapter, Order of East ern Star (or a second term at ceremonies at the Dunsmuir Ma sonic Temple on the evening of November 7. Jim Haley was installed as wor thy patron for a second term. Oth er elective officers are Margue rite Smith, associate matron; Leon ard Smith, associate patron; Sel ma Porter, secretary; Errol Beaughan, treasurer; Doris Mor gan, conductress, and Lucille Cor son, associate conductress. Selma Porter served as install ing officer. She was assisted by Jin Brown, installing chaplain: Jlina Kimble, installing marshal, and Jessie Herrin, installing or ganist. -Wild roses, emblem of the year, were predominate in the decora tions for the occasion. "Harmony" was emblazoned in a pink and green banner across the west bal cony. Mrs. Dews was presented with a bouquet of pink gladioli. Star points carried arm bouquets of appropriate colors. 5 . '. Halloween Decor " Used For Party YREKA The Halloween motif predominated in both the lodge and banquet rooms for the fifth annual hardtimes party of the Knights of Pythias and Pythian fcistcrs held at the Odd Fellows Hall on October 29. One hundred guests enjoyed ap propriate games and the special attractions of a fortune telling booth and spook room. Music for dancing was furnished by Mrs. Ruth Rider and her orchestra. Committee members included Mrs. Charlotte Davis. Mrs. Clara Henderson, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Moore, Mrs. Kalhryn Morford, Mr, and Mrs. Ray Penney, Mr. and, Mrs. Clayton Rawson, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Robinson. Mrs. Agnes Swigart, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Smith. Mrs. Irene Willenbrink and Mrs. Olive Vega. HOUSEWARMING FALL RIVER MILLS-One hun dred guests attended the house warming in the home of Dr. and Mrs. Paul Bulpitt on Saturday nignt, November 1. A smorgasbord supper was served by the hostess es, Mrs. John Bartle and Mrs William Ashburn. The couple was presented a money tree as a gift from the group. The Bulpitts have collected many antiques and out standing oil paintings which they have used in the decorative scneme of their home. BUSHELS OF APPLES were picked from the frees at the Fred Ehler home, 1338 Pacific Terrace, this fall. Photo by Elln ZULEIMA NILE Klamath Zuleima Nile Club held its regular luncheon meeting No vember 5 in the Willard Hotel. Emogenc Jones was chairman for the day with Phyllis May in rharge of decorations and Jean Aldrich in harge of the calling. Others on the committee were Aletha How ell. Blanche Marks. Hess Krazer, Vcva Anderson, Charlotte Osborne. Ruth Holcomb. Rosalie Jones. Is abel Dehlinger. Manlvn Massev. I.vnn Martin. Thelma Colvin, Ruth Marks, Madeline llensley, Irene Byrnes and Maude Wright. The Pine Grove Room was beau tifully decorated in the Thanksgiv ing theme and the door and birth day prizes were the wicker horn of plenty filled with gourds and fall fruit which decorated the ta bles. Those winning the prizes were Helen Ramus, Alma Getz, Lvdia Snyder. Mary Bnthwell, Gladys Tennant, Grace McMullen, Marv Sayer and Lynn Martin. Gladys llalnusek introduced Ma rie Hale of Malin who was initiat ed into Zulcima Temple, Daugh ters of the Nile, at the ceremon ial in September. Harriett Johnson, program chair man, presented Linda and Sallv Hanville. talented daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hanville. who en tertained the club members.' Lin da gave two piano selections. "Spanish Gypsy Dance" by Dent Mowrey and Beethoven's "Seller zando." Sally's violin number was the "Fifth Pupil Concerto" bv Frederick Seitz. She was accom panied by Linda at the piano. December 3 is the date of the club Christmas meeting with Lo rene McCollum in charge. The freshman chorus of Klamath Un ion High School with some 60 voic es under the direction of Steve Stone will entertain. Karen Young is in charge of the club Christmas box which will be sent to the children in the Port land Shrincrs Hospital. She asks that each gift'b r o u g h t to the Christmas meeting be gift wrapped and marked to indicate whether for a bov k girl and Hit- age group it ;s intended for and also Mic approximate value. Dancing Club Starts Season WEED Autumn was the theme for the opening event of the 1058-59 season of the Weed Dancing Club held recently at St. Michaels Hall. An arrangement of bronze and yellow chrysanthemums flanked by candelabras with yellow and bronze candles centered the tables for the buffet supper. Mr. and Mrs. Max Layton were chairmen of the party and were assisted by Mr. and Mrs. Walter Evans. Mr. and Mrs. James Kirk. Mr. and Mrs. George Maltos and Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Nicholas. Guests for the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fish, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Pcllegrino. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Garcia, San Jose and Mr. and Mrs. George Ruth, Long view, Washington. In addition to1 the committee, 22 - member cou ples atttended. Music was by the Hottentots Quartet. The November dance will he held Saturday night, November 22. at the St. Michaels Hall. The Har old Perry Orchestra of Yrcka will provide the music.
