Kessin ger, Chiloquin, was scheduled to graduate from the Navy Electron ics Technician School at San Fran cisco this week. Macdoel Mr. and Mrs. Al bert Burby attended the 20th Dis trict meeting of the VFW at Mount Shasta last Sunday. Fish Mr. and Mrs. Henry An drus and Mrs. Jim Whitt, Mac doel, fished at Medicine Lake recently. Officer Nabs Duck Hunters A father and son were arrested on Lower Klamath Lake on elec tion day and charged by Federal Game Officer Tom Garrett with shooting ducks 33 minutes after sundown. Fred Garry Corbin. 69. and Leon ard Harvey Corbin, 28, both of Ap- plcgate, each pleaded guilty and were fined $17.50 by District Judge D. E. Van Vactor. Two other hunters to come be fore the judge, Victor Mario Lam- perti and Marvin Reno Ghilotti, were arrested by Garrett Novem ber 3 for hunting ducks during prohibited hours. Both pleaded guilty. Lamperti was fined $20 and Ghilotti was fined $17.50. Marvin Odean Fosdick was ar- rested by Federal Officer James Norris November 2 for hunting birds (two Grebes) protected by law. His fine, after pleading guil ty. was $20. Sherman Caldwell. 38, 608 Broad Street, Klamath 'Falls, charged with borrowing George Hausman's car for half an hour last Septem ber 6 and never returning, waived a preliminary hearing, was ordered held to the grand jury, and was jailed in lieu of $2,000 bond. Frank Fenoir t Frank Ferrair) 49, Hager, charged with writing two $20 checks in October on a bank account that was closed in June, was given until Friday to enter a plea. From Treasure Island Frank Cross, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clar ence Cross, visited last weekend with his parents in Macdoel. First Child Anna Marie was the name chosen for the infant daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Ridenour October 21. She is the first grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. Gail Ridenour, Modoc Point, and the fourth for Mr. and Mrs. Clarence (Bud Gentry, William son River. Ridenour was honored at a shower for father and bahy given by Lester and Jimmy Ho back the week before. New House Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Eggsman have finished roof ing and shingling their new home in southeast Chiloquin and plan to do inside carpentry during the win ter months. Visits Sister Mrs. Ivan Doak left Chiloquin Monday to visit her sister and brother-in-law in the Bay Area until the Christmas sea son. A freak accident at school a week ago gave a younger son, Darrell. a collar bone fracture, and later in the week an older son, Danny, suffered an ankle injury. two youngest granddaughters, Rob in and Lawana Doak, will accom pany him south. ' Visits Son Mrs. Niles Hickey relumed to Chiloquin this past weekend after spending a week in Marcola caring for grandchildren while her son and his wife were away on a vacation. Tiny Baby Mr. and Mrs. Har old Hill are parents of a girl, who weighed just 4 lbs., 5 ozs. when she was born at the Chiloquin Medical Clinic October 29. She is in an incubator. .Move South Mrs. Forest Dol ing and her uncle, Ernest Plantz, left the Agency Lakeshore District Monday to join Doling near Vallejo where they plan to spend the win ter months. Queen Diane West, represent ing the freshman class, was ac claimed ottcen of the Merrill High School carnival held Saturday night, November .1, in the high school gymnasium. Diane is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don vesi 01 ;iemu. Bazaar The annual bazaar and smorgasbord, sponsored by St. Augustine's Church in Merrill, will be held Saturday evening, Novem ber 8, at the parish hall. The smorgasbord dinner will be served from 6 until 8 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the door. There will be a variety of games and booths including fish pond, cooked food and fancy work.
