Duck Hunters
A father and son were arrested
on Lower Klamath Lake on elec
tion day and charged by Federal
Game Officer Tom Garrett with
shooting ducks 33 minutes after
sundown.
Fred Garry Corbin. 69. and Leon
ard Harvey Corbin, 28, both of Ap-
plcgate, each pleaded guilty and
were fined $17.50 by District Judge
D. E. Van Vactor.
Two other hunters to come be
fore the judge, Victor Mario Lam-
perti and Marvin Reno Ghilotti,
were arrested by Garrett Novem
ber 3 for hunting ducks during
prohibited hours. Both pleaded
guilty. Lamperti was fined $20 and
Ghilotti was fined $17.50.
Marvin Odean Fosdick was ar-
rested by Federal Officer James
Norris November 2 for hunting
birds (two Grebes) protected by
law. His fine, after pleading guil
ty. was $20.
Sherman Caldwell. 38, 608 Broad
Street, Klamath 'Falls, charged
with borrowing George Hausman's
car for half an hour last Septem
ber 6 and never returning, waived
a preliminary hearing, was ordered
held to the grand jury, and was
jailed in lieu of $2,000 bond.

49, Hager, charged with writing
two $20 checks in October on a
bank account that was closed in
June, was given until Friday to
enter a plea. He was jailed in lieu
of $2,000.

and smorgasbord, sponsored by St.
Augustine's Church in Merrill, will
be held Saturday evening, Novem
ber 8, at the parish hall. The
smorgasbord dinner will be served
from 6 until 8 p.m. Tickets may
be purchased at the door. There
will be a variety of games and
booths including fish pond, cooked
food and fancy work.

of Langell Valley at midnight
Saturday. Clothing and belongings
were all lost. The Guskeys have
two small sons, 1 and 3 years old
