I'lacerville, California. visited Irom Tuesday until Satur day with Brannan s mother, Mrs Martha Brannan, and sister. Mrs Jim Whitt, both of Macdoel. and another sister, Mrs. Ernest Burk hart, Dorris. From San Jnse Mrs. Mae Thor sen, San Jose, a former resident of Butte Valley, is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jim Whitt. Macdoel, and oth er friends in the area. She will be remembered as Mae Bloss. Macdoel Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Nauuht, Macdoel, were guests ai the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack GenRrich. Talent, Oregon, last week, and also at the home of Mrs. Naught's aunt, Mrs. Lena ltoseberry, Medford. Kclurnrd Chuck Burke returned fo his home in Macdoel Sunday from San Bernardino where he had been sent by the Goose Nest Dis trict to fight a forest fire. Driscoll, Leavitt. Donna Dixon and Cora Surgery Mrs. Jess Dieter re turned to her Macdoel home Sun day from the Siskiyou County Gen eral Hospital in Yreka, after under going major surgery last week. Livestock-Bullo Valley 4-H Club members and their families attend' erl the 11th annual Siskiyou County 4-H livestock judging day it yreka Sunday. Cinda Rohison won first place in beef judging and was awarded a blue ribbon and a pock et knite. Larry Myers took third place in the beef judging. Macdoel Trucks carelessly load ed with garbage on their way to the dump east of Macdoel arc spilling garbage on the county road leading to the dump, which is in violation to a county ordinance. From Oakland Margaret Bren nan and Joan Brennan, Oakland, California, were holiday guests at the home of their uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Jack Leahy, and children of New Pine Creek. Conference Mrs. Buna Karis, New Pine Creek. Lake County PTA council president, attended a state PI A leadership training conference at the Lniverstty of Oregon cam pus at Eugene. She was accom panied by Mrs. Hazel Sanford who visited her daughter, Mrs. Helen Pearson, and family in Eugene Cook Lowell Richenor, Willow Ranch, was one of the eight cooks at the Order of the Antelope gain cring on Hart Mountain over the weekend. Lowell is now working for Truman Lawson near Medicine Lake. Completed The Meta Poole home near New Pine Creek has been completed by the contractor. Swan Sjoherg, who with his wife has returned to his home in Ukiah. The carpenter, George Duwe, who was employed on the home, and his wife have returned lo Ukiah also. HAROLD BRESSLER, 3322 Homedale Road, gazes gloom ily at the safety glass of the rear window of his car, which went abruptly and inexplicably to pieces Tuesday morning. The window was in apparently perfect shape at 8:30 a.m., but was in the process of disintegration at 10 when Bress ler was preparing to drive off. Tiny glass splinters were flying out on both sides of the glass. The car is a 1951 model, and the glass was the original pane, so if it was in any way defective, this fact took long enough to come to light. The car was unloaded at the time of the crackup, and was parked !n a driveway well back from the road. There was no evidence of pressure on the pane.
