I ' A TIE FOR ALL-ROUND cowboy honors resulted when a boy and a girl both won nine points in the Klamath Basin's first junior rodeo held August 7 at the fairgrounds. The rodeo sponsored by the Klamath Sheriff's Possee drew contestants from points outside the basin as well as lo 1 col riders. A second trophy has been ordered. Haiel Jo Delamater, 15, left, was the girl winner. ! Others (I to rl are Fred Beymer, Klamath Falls, president of the posse, Mrs. Beymer, who did ' an outstanding job as secretary, and C. B. Simons, 14, boy winner. Haiel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Delamater, Midland. C. B. is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lome W. Simons, 2604 'Autumn Avenue. Hollywood Agent Buys Up Horses FORT ROCK Jack Connors, Hollywood stunt man who also keeps performing horses tor hire at the film capital, purchased eight head of horses from R. A. Joseph Haddock Rites To Be Held YREKA Funeral services are pending at Girdner's Funeral chapel in Yreka for Joseph Had dock, 11, of Grenada, who died Monday afternoon at the Siskiyou County General Hospital in Yreka, where he had been a patient for two days. Born January 17, 1884, in Idaho, he had lived in Grenada since 1917. He had no known relatives in this Erea, although he is reported to have several nieces and nephews in the San Francisco Bay Area. He never married. Dunsmuir Cops Check Cases DUNSMUIR Dunsmuir police are investigating several acts of vandalism that occurred on Sun day and Monday nights. The most serious of these was the breaking of a plate glass store window of Mac's Market in north Dunsmuir on Monday night some time between 10:30 and 2 a.m. A large stone, about 12 inches in circumference, was tossed into the store. Phone wires of a pay booth in the front of the store were also jerked loose. Robbery did not seem to be a motive as there were no losses evident. Vandals also made a large scratch across the back of a car belonging to Roscoe Kimble parked downtown Monday night. The con vertible top of an automobile be longing to Joe Yanez was slashed in two places. A suit and a pair of slacks were stolen from the car. On Sunday night the elementary school bus was broken into. Two fire extinguishers were taken and the gear shift bar was badly bent, according to Dunsmuir police.
