Dunsmuir Cops
Check Cases
DUNSMUIR Dunsmuir police
are investigating several acts of
vandalism that occurred on Sun
day and Monday nights.
The most serious of these was
the breaking of a plate glass store
window of Mac's Market in north
Dunsmuir on Monday night some
time between 10:30 and 2 a.m. A
large stone, about 12 inches in
circumference, was tossed into
the store. Phone wires of a pay
booth in the front of the store were
also jerked loose. Robbery did not
seem to be a motive as there were
no losses evident.
Vandals also made a large
scratch across the back of a car
belonging to Roscoe Kimble parked
downtown Monday night. The con
vertible top of an automobile be
longing to Joe Yanez was slashed
in two places. A suit and a pair
of slacks were stolen from the
car.
On Sunday night the elementary
school bus was broken into. Two
fire extinguishers were taken and
the gear shift bar was badly bent,
according to Dunsmuir police.
