Starting the linal week of his Colorado work-and-play vacation, tne President scheduled a meet taK with Sen. Prank Barrett, Wyo ming Republican. Prom Barrett, Eisenhowe was to get the latest word on the cam paign progress of the party's can didate lor the U. S. Senate from Wyoming, Rep. William Henry Har rison. Former Sen. Joseph C. O'Ma honey, defeated by Barrett In 1952, is Harrison's Democratic opponent in a close race. Full details on Eisenhower's plans to step up his personal cam paign for election of another GOP led Congress In November may be disclosed at the Denver White House this week. He plans a farm speech some where In the Midwest, possibly In Illinois or Indiana, and another ma jor campaign address in the Wash ington area, but there has been no official announcement on the place or date of either talk. Rites Held For SP Dispatcher DUNSMUIR Masonic funeral services were held Sunday for House Charles F. Tile British minister of state said Soviet Deputy Foreign Min ister Andrei Y. Vishinsky had given some reason for hope in his new proposals 10 days ago, but had left many vital questions un answered. Lloyd was the first speaker In the disarmament debate before the General Assembly's 60-nation Political Committee. He was fol lowed by French Delegate Jules Moch who also appealed for clari fication of the Soviet position. Lloyd specifically asked Vishin sky to state in plain terms wheth er Russia is now ready to accept on ironclad International inspec tion system which would be in operation before an arms reduc tion or atomic ban was put into effect. Until such clarification Is forth coming, he said, "wo must be careful to be neither too pessi mistic nor too optimistic." "We must be careful not to raise false hopes," he continued. "We must not give the impression that solutions. . . are easy to achieve or near at hand." Lloyd said that even the most optimistic estimates fix 12 months as the minimum time for drafting a convention on - Inspection and control. Both Lloyd and Moch dealt at length with the new Soviet pro posals and a British-French for mula, put forward last June and later accepted in principle by the United States, The two plans ap pear to have many points in com mon. The political committee debate is expected to continue about two weeks. Death Claims SP Switchman DUNSMUIR Chris Bonderson, 65, well known Dunsmuir switch man, died suddenly October 5 at Middlebury, Vermont, where he was vacationing with Mrs. Bond erson who has relatives there. He was born September 17, 1890. in Emerson, Nebraska, and had been continously employed by the Shasta Division of Southern Pacific in various capacities since July 1, 1909. He was in the train and yard service since 1918. Survivors, in addition to the widow," Include a son, Paul, of San Luis Obispo, who went by air to Middlebury to attend funeral serv ices.
