Ill I ii i , m mmt 1JP- Farm Bureau Women Meet LANGELL VALLEY The Aksoc latefl Women of the Langcll Valley Farm Bureau Center met at the Community hall August. 11 at 2 p.m.. with Mrs. Sandre Romtvedt in charge. Mrs. Floyd Meeker Is secretary-treasurer of the group. Mrs. Lee Holliday, Mrs. Earl Kerns both of Klamath Falls gave inter- besting talks on the regional meet ing at Bend. Mrs. Fred Rueck, Oregon chairman also gave a short talk. Refreshments were served at the close of the meeting and a social time enjoyed by Mrs. Rueck, Mrs. Holliday, Mrs. kerns, Mrs.. SUNSHINE WAS SCARCE ... but HOSPITALITY was plentiful last Sunday for the 70 some guests who came from various points around the general countryside to join the hosts (above), in celobrating the birthday of Wenona Dyer, from Honolulu, houseguest of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Stoner, center couple, at their Klamath Falls "River House" on Conger Avenue; and at "The Other House," Lake o' the Woods. Locale of the 2 to 5 p.m. event, was the Lake o' the Woods summer home of the other hosting couple, far left, and right; Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Stiles. Hawaiian-decorated invitations couched in pigdin - Polynesian brought American - gusto, re sponses. The spacious grounds and house of the Stiles' lake menage and the wide array of interesting food added to the above-mentioned "hospitality" were temptations to tarry and most did. CF 'Leaders Host ,' 3-Grpup Picnic CHILOQUIN The Camp Fire Girls leaders association gave a picnic for Blue Birds, Camp Fire Girls and 'the younger group of Horiaon Club girls last Wednesday at Collier Park. Thirty nine repre sentatives of five groups gathered u noon. The menu Included the tradition al items, hot doge, potato salad, relishes, marshmallows, watermel Ion and a soft drink. The Horizon Club planned the entertainment which included follow-the-leader. wading, chases all over the park, use of playground equipment and relay games. Leaders attending were Mrs. Dwight Klrcher and Mrs. Victor Sisson Sr., leaders of the 6th and 7th grades; Mrs. Eugene March ington, Horizon Club leader; Mrs, Allen Cline and Mrs. Lloyd Peters, leaders of the 1st and 2nd grad ers; Mrs. Joe Adamo, 3rd and 4th grade leader; and Mrs. Gerald Wolff, 5th grade leader. Mrs. Earl Hall, who last year as sisted Mrs, Adamo and is now working with 5th grade Camp Fire Girls, was unable to attend. She car ried a - fan-shaped bouquet of white and pink roses. Her sister. Mrs. Everett Cloud, was matron of honor and she wore an orchid colored gown.. Bridgcsmalds were Phyllis and Darlene Grant. The mother of the bride wore a cocoa brown nylon dress with a pink, and white rose corsage. - At the reception which was held in the church basement immedi ately following the ceremony, the cake was served by Mrs. Dwight Macy and Mrs. Leonard Orant. Mrs. Arthur Herringshaw and Mrs. Bob Herringshaw, both sis ters-in-law of the bridegroom, poured. The guest book was passed by Mrs. John Herringshaw; and Shirley Henske and Carolyn Brown had charge of the, gift table.
