Griffin has made sample frames for exhibits and methods of preparing exhibits are being explained to beginner col lectors. Awards are being planned for the various classifications entered. Losses for the week ranged from 24 to i 75 cents aftcr a seven month peak at $22.10 was reached Monday. Lighter weight hogs showed the most decline because of the lack of shipper demand, usually con centrated on these offerings. Ship ments were the smallest in four years. Receipts were 30 per cent smaller than in 'the same 1953 week. Wholesale pork showed a little strength. , ' . In the -cattle section slaughter steers and heifers closed mostly 40 cents higher. Receipts of all classes or cattle were more than 50 per cent greater than in the like week lost year. Cows held steady, but bulls and vealers 'de clined. Stockers and feeders gain ed $1.00.
