J . t AVIATION'S FIRST LADY as far as Klamath flying is concerned is pretty Betty Gant, one of the only air search women flyers in this pert of the country. Miss Gent, a member of the local aviation civil defense unit performed the first flight for that unit in reconnoitering outlying airfields in this area. She is also assistant air designee for the state board of aeronautics. FORT KLAMATH ' Mr. Bnd Mrs. Ralph Vaden and lamlly at the Hawkins ranch had as Ihelr house guests over the holidays, Mrs. Vaden' cousin and son, Mr. and Mra. Travis Calloway and Brooks, of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Calloway's mother, Mrs. Ethel Womack of Quanah, Texas.
