Major Jobs In the strictly school clans were the new Peterson school and the Henley high school. The Bacred Heart academy recreation palish hall center Is a major project In town, and there have been sever al smaller projects plus tha finish of the Mills addition auditorium. Dorrls, Dunsmulr and other point outside the county have also seen Important school plant Improve menu. Peterson school, named in honor . of former County Superintendent Fred Peterson. Is a 1320,000 project facing on Clinton street In tha southeast suburbs, aimed at re lieving the elementary school Jam In that area. This building will pro vide class rooms, administration unit, auditorium and play area, cafeteria, locker rooms and other facilities. It embodies many of tha mot modern school plant features. Henley high school project, a 1142.000 Job, will provide six class rooms, library, two science rooms and a home-making room. The present contract Is for only part of the development planned there. For the time being, the new construc tion will be used with the old build ing as the high school plant, but later, an auditorium and additional classrooms will be added and tha old building moved to the Henley grade school to take care of a space shortage there. The Bacred Heart project (pic tured elsewhere) amount to a total of about 1141.000 and Include a gymnasium for the local parochial school. Other jobs In town Include a cafe teria at Conger school, Janitor' apartment at Mills, home economic room at the high school, boiler room at Falrvlew school. The Mills audi torium, long under construction, Is now virtually complete and will be a welcome addition to community facilities. Other Important building projects are In the offing, especially In the county. A federal appropriation may help build a physical education plant at Chlloquln soon.
