At Fir Point Five young people from the First Presbyter ian church are at Fir Point re treat today, which is a week's studv course for youth groups of Presbyterian churches all over the state. Southwell, The Zehntbauers had Just come from Tucson, Arix., with a trailer. They stopped in the Lava Beds to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Don C. Fisher. Mrs. Zchntbauer and Allen had been in Arizona since February and her husband flew down V join them two weeks ago. Zchntbauer is vice president of Jantzen Knit ting Mills in Portland. She is the former Ruth Vannice of this city. Before returning home thoy visit ed the Cataract canyon in Grand Canyon national park, making a four-day horseback trip to see the Havasupi Indians. Improving Mrs. Robert Elder formerly of this city and now making her home in Med ford. is recovering from major surgery at Hillside hospital. Elder brought his wife here Sunday evening. He is a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Blackmer. Elder serves as Jackson county juvenile officer. I Not to Speak Rev. L. K. Special Meeting A special meeting of the Klamath Subur ban league, in cooperation with the Shasta View grange, has been called for Friday, 8 p. m., at Shasta school. Final action will be taken and petitions will be circulated for organization of a fire district in the suburban area. On Radio Show Leo Olson of Klamath Falls, was one of 20 4 H club members chosen to take part in the annual club summer school radio revue and talent show. The show will be broadcast from Corvallis tomor row night, Wednesday, over KOAC. Visiting Mrs. Ben N. Garra han. (Mercedes Boyd), accom panied by her son, Alan, arrived Sunday night to spend two months with her parents. Dr. and Mrs. W. R. Boyd. 1954 Au burn. From Brookings Phil Schroeder, formerly of Klamath Falls and for the past two years residing at Brookings where he is operating a lily bulb farm and Mrs. Schroeder has a store, is spending several days in this city with friends. Gra lapp's office, spent several days' vacation in Eureka, Calif., visit ing friends. She resumed her work Monday morning. Luncheon Sojourners will hold a meeting Wednesday at 1:45. Bridge will follow. A no hostess luncheon will precede the meeting at 12.30 in the hotel dining room. The commission re fused a license to the Frederick son Ball company of Klamath Falls, for retail beer license. Discharged Fred D. Floetke, MM 3'c, received his discharge May 27 at Brooklyn. N. Y. He entered the service August 27. 1943, and was stationed on the USS Sturgis. Fred- is now with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Floetke, 224 McKinley.
