The Mills school championship
football team was Introduced by
tho principal, Verne Spelrs, at
the Mills PTA meeting Wednes
day oflernoon. The team en
joyed refreshments of hot dogB,
pumpkin pie and spiced cider
at a special table decorated with
the school colors, footballs and
football autograph pluce cards.
Many purentn visited the
rooms during the day and there
was a large attendance at the
meeting which was opened by
tho president, Mrs. M. F.
Shreeve. Tho flag salute was
led by Nancy Lumbo and the
singing of "America the Beauti
ful" was led by Mrs. Hunt.
The Girl Scout troops, No. 3
and 4, whoso leaders arc Miss
nopta and Mrs, Frank Lambo,
presented three singing games to
earn their badges. The games
were, "Sourwood Mountains,"
"The Paw-Paw Patch" and
"Virginia Ileel." They were ac

GILCHRIST
The Gilchrist Parent-Teacher
association met following a talk
lust Wednesday on "How To
Dross With Taste," by Winnlfred
Glllen, Klamath county home
demonstration agent. At this
meeting It was voted to pur
chase a room prize for the room
bringing in the highest attend
ance each month at meetings re
gardless of whether the guest
was a member or not. This is to
be a nice flag on a standard
with tho American eagle at the
top. Growth and community In
terest Is to be stressed this year
rather than any particular
school project.
The next meeting will be the
regular Christmas program
sometime in December and the
children and faculty are already
busy working to make this pro
gram tho best Gilchrist has ever
had.
