Tables were decorated with small golf flags and a largo cake representing a golf course cent ered the table. Fall flowers were placed about tho rooms. Tho Klamath Falls Woman's Library club will hold their first meeting at a luncheon at the Willnrd hotel on Mondny, Sep tember 11, at 1 p. m. Garden Group Mrs. Horace Getz will be hos tess at her homo at 511 Pacific Terrace this coming Monday, August 28 at the regular meet ing of the Klamath Garden Group. They will meet at 2 p. m. Mrs. G. A. Krausc, a judge for the Nutional Iris Society will talk and give a demonstration on tho correct division, trimming and planting of iris. C. H. Mueller will give a dem onstration and talk on the transplanting and dividing of shrubs. This should bo of spe cial interest ns now is the time to divide tho shrubs. Anyone who hns extra iris f limits is reminded to save them o give to the Marino Barracks. Members and prospective members arc urged to attend the meeting. Lawn Supper Event Given for Clubs Climaxing the vacation season was tho lawn .supper given Monday evening, August 21, at the Sheldon Brumbaugh's country home near Olenc for the Soroptimist and Business and Profes sional Women's clubs, which was the final informal gathering for both groups before resumption of regular meetings in Sep tember. Tho supper was served buffet style in an attractive garden setting with places set for about 50 at tables grouped about the lawn. Special guests enjoying the evening included Mrs. Bernard Dubel, Lt. Jean E. Morrison and PFC Elizabeth Sanders of the WACs,- Ebba and Ethel Wicks, Ina Patty and Twyla Ferguson, hostess of Soroptimist House. Rose Poole recounted a num ber of highlights of her trip to Now York this summer and of her attendance at the biannual international conference of Sor optimists, held at St. Louis. Norma Miller, president of BPW, reported on the recent dis trict conference held at Dor chester House on the coast, and urged all members of her club to pay up their dues by Septem ber 1, after which date a penalty will be added. Mrs. Brumbaugh, president of the Soroptimist club, who pre sided as hostess, was assisted by Josephine Penrod, Stella Bowno and Nell Olsen.
