Each wora attractive corsages of white begonias. "An all wnite motif w a a chosen for tha tea table which was centered with a lovely arrangement of while snap dragona and greenery. White anapdragons wera also used on tha mantel arranged with white dahlias and caladlum leaves. Tall white tapers fur ther carried out the chosen motif. "Pouring for tha first hour wera Mrs. Sidney Warner and Mri. J. K. Stewart Sr., and for tha second, Mrs. G. B. Grace 'and Mrs. Frederick Ornes. Between four and five j o'clock, Mrs. C. J. Moen and J Mrs. P. A. Cornelius presided at tha tea table. Mrs. John Seaman and Mrs. Ray Clark ware In charge of tha dining rooms. Handrlckson at his home on Scott street on his birth day when pinochle and oth er games were played with high award going to Mr. and Mrs. Moulder and the special prize to Mrs. Twllliger. A number of gifts were present ad the honor guest. Club Will Tour Mill Soroptimists Will Be Guests of Mrs. Larnrn At Next Meeting At the Thursday noon luncheon meeting of the Klumoth Falls Soroptimists at the Wlllord hotel, plans were completed for a jaunt to Mowlch with Mrs. Alice Lamm on Thursday, July tha eighteenth. The caravan will leave Klamsth Falls about a quarter to nine o'clock for Modoc Point where Mrs. Lamm will Join the party and they will proceed to the Des chutes Lumber company for lunch and a tour of the mill, conducted by Mr. Roland Watt, co-owner of the plant with Mrs. Lamm. This will bo one of the club's vocation al programs In which each member Is taking part. An Interesting report of tha national convention at Salt Lake City was given Thurs day by Mri. Effte Garcelon who told of the high percent age of professional women making up the Salt Lake club one, an attorney, serv ing as a municipal Judge, an other a practicing physician besides the representation of other professions. She also told that each member of tha Salt Lake club had been ap pointed a godmother to mem bers of other clubs for the duration of the convention, the godmother for the Klam ath Falls' delegates being Er ma Bltner, part owner and broadcaster of KSL radio sta tion. The club voted to have a vacation period u n tl 1 Sep tember, holding only one business meeting during tha month of August. MRS. GASTER HONORED AT SHOWER, PARTY Mrs. Albert Gaiter was tha guest of honor at a miscel laneous shower Friday eve ning, June tha twenty-seventh, at tha home of her elatei-ln-law, Mrs. Paul Gaater on Tor rey street. The groom is the son of Mrs. S. P. Cox of Puyallup, Wash ington. Visitors From East Entertained Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Pear son, 716 Owens street, had as their guests over the weekend Mrs. Pearson's sister, Ethel Nelson of Detroit, Michigan and Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Vs berg and daughter, Harri ette, and Miss Janice Jnnk of Saginaw, Mich. While here the group en joyed a trip to Crater Lake and other points of interest. They left here for Snn Fran cisco where (hey planned to spend several days at the Golden Gate Exposition, go ing from there to Los Angeles to visit relatives before re turning east. Planning Vacation Trip Through South Mr. and Mrs. John Harris of Fremont street planned to leave this weekend on a two weeks' motor trip through San Francisco and southern California. Their two chil dren, Mary Kay and Jackie, are spending the fortnight in Portland with their grand mother, Mrs. A. S. Wilcox, having left Saturday morning by train accompanied by their aunt and cousin, Mrs. H. N. Mr. and Mrs. Asahel Bush of Salt Lake City spent three days of the past week in Klamath Falls and were greeted by their many friends here. They left Saturday over the coast highway for Agate beach where they will be guests of Mr. Bush's family and will also join their small daughter, "Jody," who has visited in Salem for the past few months. Neighbors of Wood c r a f t will meet Monday evening, July the fifteenth, at eight o'clock in the KC hall when a program will follow the business meeting and refresh ments will be served. De Molay n stalled Thursday Alvin Cheyne Takes Office as Master Councillor For Summer Term of Masonic Organization Officers for the summer term, Order of DeMolay, war Installed in an Impressive ceremony Thursday evening, July the eleventh, at eight o'clock in the Masonic temple, with many friends, relatives, and parents of the DeMolay member attend ing the services. Installing officer waa Retiring Master Coun cillor Dick Blohm, assisted by Bill Ganong, Ben Hastings, Earl Reynolds Jr., Charles Bonney, and Gordon Ledlngham. Those taking office were: ' Alvin Cheyne, master coun cillor; Jack Myers, senior councillor; Bob Kent, Junior councillor; Bob Evans, scribe; Carter Sparks, sen ior deacon; Dean Jones, Jun ior deacon; Steven Stewart, senior steward; Bob Fred erickson, Junior steward; Glenn Kennedy, chaplain; Bill King, marshall; Bob Houston, orator; Orton Mann, almoner; Bill Constani, sentinel; Jim Shaw, standard bearer; Dick Howard, Bill Worstell, Don Bratton, Mark Hanna, Rich ard Halousek, Bob Erlandson, Don Smith, preceptors. There were also visitors from the Tulelake chapter present, and other out-of-town guests. Mr. Godfrey C. Blohm, head of the advisory council of DeMolay, present ed his son with the Past Mas ter Councillor's pin and Floyd Stanley, dad advisor of the chapter, was also present. Following the installation refreshments were served and dancing enjoyed. The next meeting of DeMolay will be held July twenty-fifth. Officers unable to attend due to absence from the city will be installed at a later date.. COUPLE WED AT CEREMONY ON JUNE 26TH On June the twenty-sixth. Miss Lucille Mulvaney be came the bride of Mr. Wil liam Smith at a wedding sol emnized in the chapel of the Sacred Heart church. The bride was given In marriage by Mr. Thomas Holmes. Miss Alma Peter son acted as bridesmaid and Mr. Paul Butler as best man. Invited guests w e re Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Holmes, Mrs. M. H. Wolf, mother of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Beers, Mrs. Annis Pruitt, Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Sherman and son. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman, honoring the bride' and groom, when a number of other guests were present in addition to the wedding party. Mrs. Edith HuU of Niles, Michigan, and Mrs. Lew At kinson of Altadena, Califor nia, were weekend visitors at the home of Mrs. Myra Cain Stewart on Alameda street. The three attended school to gether. The visitors are en route south following an in teresting trip into the Alaskan interior and stops at Portland and Seattle after their return to the States. Enjoying an extended stay in Columbus, Ohio, are Mrs. J. Calvin Hunt and daughter, Connie, who are spending the remainder of the summer visiting friends and relatives in their old home.
