At the Thursday noon
luncheon meeting of the
Klumoth Falls Soroptimists
at the Wlllord hotel, plans
were completed for a jaunt
to Mowlch with Mrs. Alice
Lamm on Thursday, July tha
eighteenth. The caravan will
leave Klamsth Falls about a
quarter to nine o'clock for
Modoc Point where Mrs.
Lamm will Join the party and
they will proceed to the Des
chutes Lumber company for
lunch and a tour of the mill,
conducted by Mr. Roland
Watt, co-owner of the plant
with Mrs. Lamm. This will
bo one of the club's vocation
al programs In which each
member Is taking part.
An Interesting report of tha
national convention at Salt
Lake City was given Thurs
day by Mri. Effte Garcelon
who told of the high percent
age of professional women
making up the Salt Lake
club one, an attorney, serv
ing as a municipal Judge, an
other a practicing physician
besides the representation of
other professions. She also
told that each member of tha
Salt Lake club had been ap
pointed a godmother to mem
bers of other clubs for the
duration of the convention,
the godmother for the Klam
ath Falls' delegates being Er
ma Bltner, part owner and
broadcaster of KSL radio sta
tion. The club voted to have a
vacation period u n tl 1 Sep
tember, holding only one
business meeting during tha
month of August.

Mr. and Mrs. Asahel Bush
of Salt Lake City spent three
days of the past week in
Klamath Falls and were
greeted by their many friends
here. They left Saturday over
the coast highway for Agate
beach where they will be
guests of Mr. Bush's family
and will also join their small
daughter, "Jody," who has
visited in Salem for the past
few months.

Following the installation
refreshments were served and
dancing enjoyed. The next
meeting of DeMolay will be
held July twenty-fifth.

Sherman, honoring the bride'
and groom, when a number

in addition to the wedding
party.
Mrs. Edith HuU of Niles,
Michigan, and Mrs. Lew At
kinson of Altadena, Califor
nia, were weekend visitors at
the home of Mrs. Myra Cain
Stewart on Alameda street.
The three attended school to
gether. The visitors are en
route south following an in
teresting trip into the Alaskan
interior and stops at Portland
and Seattle after their return
to the States.
Enjoying an extended stay
in Columbus, Ohio, are Mrs.
J. Calvin Hunt and daughter,
Connie, who are spending
the remainder of the summer
visiting friends and relatives
in their old home. Before re
turning to Klamath Falls they
plan to attend the World's
fair in Chicago.
