Baseball Final SILVERTON, July 21 UP Glenn Elliott struck out 15 men and held Hills Creek to six bits last night as Albany battled Its way into the final of the state semi-pro baseball tournament by beating the Creekmen,' 8-2. . Briggs Jr., vice president of the Detroit Baseball company, an nounced today Freddie Hutchin son had been recalled by the De troit Tigers and would report next Monday. DETROIT, July 21 UP) Fred die Hutchinson will be recalled by the Detroit Tigers from the Toledo American association club where he now is doing mound duty, when the Tigers return from their forthcoming eastern tour, the Detroit Free Press said today. Hutchinson was with the Mad Hens In Minneapolis today but could not be reached for a state ment as to whether he had been notified to pack his bags. The Tigers purchased Hutchin son from the Seattle Pacific Coast league club at the end of last sea son and after a brief Introduction to major league baseball he was farmed out to Toledo to regain his control.
