Itosenbaum, southern Oregon representative of the Southern Pacific, who received formal an nouncement of the costly new Viaduct Tuesday. The bridge, which Is' to be slightly more than a mile In lungth, will allow the Southern Pacific to abandon Its train ferry stoamers and the ferry slips at Porta Costa and Benlcla, thus giving a more dignified approach by rail to San Francisco.
