With Mrs. McAuliffe he arrived in the city on last night's train from the south, and is at present stopping nt the hotel White Pelican. In Juno of last year, Mr. McAu liffe was severely burned while mo toring to Lakcvicw. Ho had stopped his enr in a blinding rain storm nnd leaving tho motor running, ho had climbed into the back ot his car and fell asleep. When ho was found he had been overcome by carbon monoxide nnd seriously burned by tho heater. ( For a tlmo ho was confined in the Lakovlew hospital and later Mrs. McAuliffe moved htm to Sim Fran cisco, where ho has been until his return Inst evening.
