The tragedy occurred on a straight stretch of road about a half mile north of the Lakovlew-Merrlll Junc tion. Jackson, apparently speeding in a southerly direction, had just Jasaed a south bound car. As he was swerv ing around the front o? the car, one of the rear tires of his automobile ill--w out. Simultaneously he slammed on the brakes. The brakes and the blow-out sloughed the car around sidewise and the. momentum of its speed caused it to roll over twice.
