agent for the Chicago. Great West
ern railroad: V. W. Smith of San
Francisco, district freight agent for
the Soo lines; T. E. Hoke of Port
land, freight agent for the Pennsyl
vania lines: S. E. Burnett of Port
land, agent for the Chicago, Hock
Island railroad lines: and J. F.
Scanlln of Seattle, freight agent for
the New York Central lines.
These railroad men did not come
to Klamath together, but one by one.

CASPER. Wyo., Nov. 20. (P)
Wyoming tonight will witness 113
first after-dark football game when
the Casper and Midwest high school
elevens meet here on a gridiron '
illuminated by open gas flares and
arc lights.
Halo of electric lights and 2.000
candle power searchlight will add
their strength to the gas flares,
and authorities predict every plav
will be thrown into relief.
The football will be painted white.

Josephine Jackson, the filth occu
pant of the death car. is recovering
in the Klamath Vail":- hospital from
a broken shoulder, bruises and abra
sions. The tragedy occurred on a straight
stretch of road about a half mile
north of the Lakovlew-Merrlll Junc
tion. Jackson, apparently speeding in
a southerly direction, had just Jasaed
a south bound car. As he was swerv
ing around the front o? the car, one
of the rear tires of his automobile
ill--w out. Simultaneously he slammed
on the brakes. The brakes and the
blow-out sloughed the car around
sidewise and the. momentum of its
speed caused it to roll over twice.
Victim in Hear Beat
Miss Lawyer was sitting In the rear
seat with Miss Jackson and San
chez. As the car turned over, hor
head was caught between the back
of the rear seat and the hard macad
am road. It was crushed to a pulp
and beyond recognition. Death cn'.ne
instantaneously, according to phy
sicians. '
Sanchez and Willis, who was In the
front seat, were uninjured, but Jack
son, the driver, is suffering slightly
from a bruised left log. Jackson Is
