RAILROAD PLANS (Continued Prom Page Four) NOTICE Owing to our inability to collect for milk delivered to the homos of Klamath Falls residents, we the undersigned distributors hereby agree to retail the milk products handled by us for cash only. This agreement to go fnto effect August I, 192S'. The dairymen of this city arc losing many dollars each month through people re fusing to pay the milk man. Therefore wc arc forced to ask everybody to pay cash in advance, as in other cities, for the milk wc deliver, W( will consider the 15th of August as the last date for cash settlement for the month of August. Thereafter wc .will expect all accounts to be paid for on the first of each month. If accounts arc not paid by the 10th of each month wc will discon tinue the serving of milk and notify the credit association of our action that all dairy men in the city may know. It has not at any time been given any consideration. In fact, the sug gestion did not come from us, nor do wo know who suggested such ft route. 0. Tills afternoon Caleb Jones, who for the past month and a half has been the a-ting-dis-trfct attorney, retires in favor of E. L. Elliott, who was appointed to succeed William N. Ganong, resign- Mr. Jones has been busy today ar ranging matters in the offi-e in order that Mr. Elliott may assume his duties, with everything in run ning order. He will take an office In either the Odd Fellows building or biie ljoomis building. HU deputy David R. Vandenberg, who also re tiies this afternoon in favor of W. A. Wiest, will take an office In the American National bank building, adjacent to the office of W. H. A. Konner. I -Mr. Elliott assumes his position as district attorney for Klamath county tomorrow morning and 'with Mr. Wriest as his assistant, will at tempt to carry on the work of law enforcement at the point where Mr. Jones left off. The history ot the district at torney's office since January 1 has been varied, William N. Ganoag, was elected district attorney at last November's election, and chose W. P. Myers as .his deputy. Several months after Mr. Ganong took office, he was forced to leave for a governmental hospital lu Walla Walla for treatment for tub-' erculosls. Myers was left In charge as acting district attorney. He chose David ft. Vandenberg as his deputy. Last month, Myers resign ed and was replaced hy Caleb Jones. Vandenberg was retained as deputy. Then District Attorney Ganong re signed, early this month and his place was filled by Mr. Elliott who appointed Mr. Wiest as his deputy. Canning Season is here. Blackberries are about gone. Smith, sister of Willnrd Smith of this city, who arrived on the western coast from Balboa Heights, Canal Zone, Panama, on the 27 ot tills month and will visit hero nt the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wtllard Smith tor about three weeks. Miss Smith holds the re sponsible position of principal of the schools at Halboa Heights and has resided there since 1913. Enjoying a delightful trip from Panama, Miss Smith sailed on the Colombia on the 10th day ot July, making Hie trip to the western const in 17 dnys. This is her first visit to Klamath Falls and a number ot trips nro being planned for tiro prominent visitor. J. C.
