LYONS By Eva BrewUer Mrs. Norman Jonnson and three sons. Chris. Curt and Eric of Auburn, Wash., were Friday night and Saturday visitors at toe home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Bodeker. They •pent Saturday night at the home of her sister and husband. Mr. and Mrs Earl Hampton and family in Salem. Additional Sunday dinner guests at the Hampton home were Mr. and Mrs. Bodeker and her father. Elmer Hiatt. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Ed wards left Friday for Canada where they will visit with rela- tives. They expect to be gone a week or 10 days. Mr. and Mrs Glen Julian were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Wright in Portland. The Wrights aA former residents here. He was principal at Mari-Linn. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Deck er and daughter. Sue Ann of Eugene were Sunday guests at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs George Hubbard and sister. Mrs Ethel Huffman, Her father. Mr. Hubbard, who has been quite sick is reported to be improving. Mr. and Mrs Percy Hiatt were Sunday dinner guests at the home of their daughter and husband. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Elmer and son. Gail, in Albany. The occasion honored the birth day anuniversary of Mr. Elmer. Mrs. Ernest Schiewek and her sisteri Mrs. Carl Schiewek left Thursday for Minot. N. Dak. where they will spend a month with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Cornell are spending this week at the home of her mother, Mrs. Ethel Huffman and grandparent?. ^fr. and Mrs. George Hubbard. They are enroute to their home at Anchorage. Alaska, after visit ing with relatives in Los An geles. Calif, and his parents in Arkansas. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Allen spent the weekend at Taft, They re port the weather just like sum- mer. The Rev's. Earl B. and Ruth Cotton attended the Parsonage club in Dallas Monday. Mrs. Ruth Lyons Postmaster at Lyons and Clara Neal, post master at Sublimity, attended the dedication of the new post office at Mt. Angel Saturday. The Detroit ctiurch youth group held their regular meet ing Sunday night at the home of Rev. Lyda with a good turn out. The group is planning to have a bowling party at Stayton Friday night. The Detroit Women's Civic club held their regular meeting last Wednesday night at the home of Lorraine Sophy. Ber nice Dummer was co-hostess. There were 34 in attendance.
